The SR-71 flew over Cuba several times in the 80's. I was a kid and remember the rallys organized by Fidel to protest against those spy flights from the US. To me it was kind of scary that the Cuban army didn't seem to be able to put that plane down. They said that it was a provocation to envade Cuba and that's why they didn't shot at it. I'm not so sure that was the real reason, I think they just couldn't do anything about it.

Service ceiling is around 24,385 m while the Foxhound B achieves a top speed of 3339 km/h and service ceiling of 27 km. A development of the MiG-25R, the E.266M achieved a absolute height record for airplanes of 37,650 m.
