  • I just to listen to Charly when my mother was still here. So now every time I hear her I think of my Sweet Mother. Thank you for the memories

  • Charly McClain was a beatiful lady!

  • Love this song. Thanks for the post

  • I have always loved this song and Charly's music !!!

  • This song was on the radio when I pulled in the drive one night. I saw a strange car. I went inside and my fiance was in the house, smoking a joint with her ex boyfriend. I chased him outside, broke his arm, went in and got as much stuff as I could carry, and I haven't been back. That was 1984. I am now a millionaire, and that skank is living with a pencil dick in Oklahoma. Justice.

  • @mikeandike517 Funny how a memory in engraved with a smell or a song. This is a beautiful song and I find it sad to have such a nasty memory attached to it. What you don`t say is if you ever found happiness with a faithful mate. I hope you did. By the way I couldn`t break her arm it wouldn`t have been very womanly, but she ended up stuck with his unfaithful ass. Justice!

  • Back in the early 90's my band, Desert Moon had the honor of opening for McClain's band. The female bassist asked if she could use my amp. I was honored. North Carolina close to Goldsboro where I taught 6th grade. Bob

Wish she would come out with a new album with all of her greatest hits on it!!! Charly you are an AMAZING SINGER . Country music isn't the same without being able to turn on the radio and hear your voice!

  • In the mid 80's I worked at an FM station in Ocilla Georgia. Got a call one night after playing this song and the girl on the other end of the line said it was her life to a "T". Never met her 'cause I left about a month later, but she'd call every once in a while and we'd keep each other company. Hope she's doing better now.
