There is very little variant in terms of her voice, and truly it was a bit whiny at times, she was skating through the lyrics and melody, it sounded really draggy. She did a commendable and acceptable job, but I think Mariah does 'Forever' best. It's Mariah's song, only she can do justice to it with her stupendous vocal prowess and all.

I think she did a really good job on this, notice that in 1:37 was her last second to catch some air to sing up to the end, which is almost 16 seconds. that was pretty long.

I honestly thought I was going to dislike this version. I liked it. It's hard to compare this to Mariah. They are both two different styles with good voices in her own way, it's just hard to choose a song by one of the most recognizes voices in the world such as my favorite Mariah Carey, especially if the song is performed by another female. I gotta admit though, Randy and his comments on being pitch usually make no sense. LOL!

Anyway, KLC was my absolute least favorite on the show, but I think this is the best that she ever sounded and I was surprised this was the song to send her home (instead of some of the other WTF performances she had). it is really difficult to sing songs which are popularized by incomparable artist, even you have given your best shot to sing it beautifully still people who are listening to you(especially the judges) will compare your style from the original one...

I have learned that when you are joining a contest it is better to sing songs that are not known or the artist itself...it is also good for a female singer to revive songs that were sung by male artist and vice versa....
