i think your wife was right on this one roger it has to be the worst car you have tryed to restore yet if it was me doing the car up i would salvage as many of the parts off the car as possible
i think you would have been better off just getting another car a big time saver in the long run

£100 for the engine £100 for the gear box £100 for all the glass. £50 for the interior if in good nick. Boot lid £40, Axel £50 , clocks & dial's £50, bonnet £40 All these are ebay by it now prices! If the suspension mountings are gone then its game over. Cos its major structure. if you did it u'd have to laser align it to reweld or it would never drive straight again! If it was me I'd strip it ebay it all and weigh the shell in you'll get £50+ for the shell.
