really nice short film; it does Cosmicomics justice. i've featured your animation in a blog post of mine about Calvino more generally: eukaryography @ wordpress (distance-of-the-moon)
@prattals It's Eric Satie's Gnosienne no 1... too bad n nobody replied that for a whole year! And too bad the creator of the video didn't care to mention it himself.
I appreciate this so much, i have an essay due and watching this made the comprehensive part so much easier and time saving. I wish you did the entire book
Shulamits, hello and thank you so much for this poignantly vivid and magical piece. I think I've viewed it 10,069 times. This Eric Satie piece carries the animation to full glory. So, so so well done!

Read the story years ago. I think the the Satie piece was used in Peter Sellars' film, "Being There", as well, along with the 5th gnossiene. Highly evocative.
Calvino is one of my favourite writer, and I've been really delighted about the work that you've made. You've chosen a really wonderful way of transposing the novel on screen. Great short movie, really.
What's the piano piece? Is it Satie? I've heard it but I can remember where...

@maurosgatos ehehe not so bad...after a year I came book to this video and it was again a wonderful surprise! Thank you anyway for your (very useful) answer!
I remember the music from a game I played once about a coup in Iran Is it some kind of popular song in the middle east?

This is so beautiful. I had a much more comical read of the story and you've helped me grasp the longing and loneliness aspects of it. Thank you!

Beautiful. I felt I missed the love triangle of the story a bit but the animation was, qua animation, enchanting.
