I dont know, that works for me. I just cut mine to dontate it a few days ago. I use pantene or herbal essences shampoo for long hair and never use heat unless I have to. Ask your hairdresser, sometimes it may need to be trimmed occasionally sometimes when the ends get worn it will stop growing. ofcourse my way doesnt work for everyone might just try some hair products instead of protein. I brush my hair or have my daughter brush it for me every night for about ten minutes too.

my hair used to be almost that long twice. I cut it to donate. eat lots of protien fish, water and vitamins. dont use heat unless its neccessary.

@mookman242211 My method is to hold out on trimming for as long as I can. I haven't trimmed my hair in almost a year, and I've added at least three inches of healthy hair. I oil my hair weekly with a combo of warm veggie oil and panteen conditioner, and I only wash my hair in cool water. I don't heat treat in any form, and I run silk drops through my hair after every shower. I also only wash every three days. I leave my conditioner in for ten minutes too. Hope that helps!
