@kenatboynton Death sounded like a thrash band with raspier vocals, they never incorporated as many slower sections as Obituary did, they eventually turned into a progressive band & only their first couple of records had a similar lyrical theme.

Anyone, tell me: the story about album covers Cause of death (CoD) and Arise - what is it actually about? One source asserts, that CoD cover "was supposed to be the cover of Sepultura´s Arise, but RR let Obituary use it before, as CoD was released in 1990 and Arise in 1991." The other says, "it was supposed to be the cover of Sepultura´s Beneath the Remains (BtR), but RR let Obituary use it before, even though CoD was released in 1990 and BtR in 1989. Two sources. But which one is reliable?

I can't understand Tardy at all. I love the sound. Y'all don't know how proud I am that I finally found this band lol. I've been meaning to listen to them for a long-ass time. Cannibal Corpse is still my favorite death metal band, but this tops Deicide, in my opinion. I love slow, drawn out death metal.
