  • I love Michael Moore

  • Who is that ugly woman in purple costume who disagrees Mr Moore about pyramid? She is as ugly and disgusting looking as she is stupid............

  • maconsumner: Felix Ewing, WEALTHY 1890's tobacco bizman in KY/TN wtnssd cptlism prostitutd by tbcco trusts formd by lrg Corps who mnplzd tbcco, cwzng small/med-sized planters 2 becum poor. Ewing formd,"The Planter's Protective Assoc." so tht The Amrcn Tbbco Corp. cldn't rape 90% of

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Michael Moore, what a faggot.

  • Excuse me but isn’t this fat tub of socialist shit with a ball cap on a millionaire? Didn’t he make his millions off of corporate America? Isn’t he one of the 1% you morons are talking about? Doesn’t his wealth count towards the “evil capitalist” crap you are spewing?

  • Joe Scarborough is okay.

  • Moore makes a great point. How can one become super-rich when the super-rich HORD all of the profits??? Land of opportunity my ass!

  • I'm a Republican and support this man!

  • This is obviously powerful stuff that has the power to do damage to the bankers who stole all our money and have had it easy for too long.

  • We're just as at fault for drinking their coolaide and putting them up there in the first place.

  • now you see why i didnt vote for obama. THis party and him stabbed the american people in the back. now who are we going to vote for in 2012?

  • If you look real close to what is written on his hat it says "FEED ME! I'm hungry" and for the first 2 1/2 minutes they run that Health Prognosis banner under his head.

I wonder if he could concentrate and speak with a bucket of fried chicken in front of him.

Even better would be a naked supermodel holding the bucket of fried chicken.

  • Check out "Noam Chomsky" he analyzes all this crap in all of his articles....

  • Check out "George Carlin" he predicts all this crap on one of his shows....

  • Capitalism may be like a pyramid system, but the pyramid gets bigger and bigger.

  • Nita B. `S dad should be the first one arrested..

  • dumb fucking bimbo doesn't even know that people are losing their pension and 401k left and right in this country. Micheal's exactly right. With all the fucking Chinese money we're taking in right now that fund OUR WAY OF LIFE there won't be a fucking pension fund left five, ten years from now when China realizes they're never going to be paid back and stop buying our worthless bonds which they might as well use to wipe their asses with!

  • @tippingpts

And the only reason why we still have a stock market that limps along is because it's being fucking SUPPORTED with a permanent zero-interest rate policy by the FED. In other words, it's all from printing money. In other words, the FED is taking this country towards hyperinflation. By then it won't matter whether we have bank accounts or not, our money will be fucking worthless!

  • she is clueless!

  • And in case you didn't know the Heritage Foundation funds the "tea party:"

  • The Heritage Foundation lobbied for health care mandates since 93. Heck, I've known that. Romney got Newt to admit it during the last debate. Why is the media pretending they don't know? Pssst..politics is a dog and pony show produced and financed by Wall Street.

  • Check out blondy parrot! Why are female presenters so useless?

  • Michael Moore, what a moron. He wouldn't understand the difference between Capitalism and Corporatism if you showed it to him in a dictionary.

  • @zanariot No kidding. Only Mikey could deny he's part of the 1%.

I don't understand why this idiot is on TV all the time. If I was a lefty , he's the last guy I would want speaking on my behalf.

  • capitalism is a pyramid scheme - damn right!

  • It is true that people do not have jobs. It is true that politicians are lobbied by Corporations. Who employs you?.. The people or corporations?.. This is not a problem with me until the corporations give the money on the backs of the workers to the so-called top notches. We are not ants and we do not work to support the queen for survival...Hell the problem is there are 2 many people to take care of.. People need to secure themselves then start a family. This planet is in grave danger.

  • Ain't gona be long now- I C people like Patricia McAllister at Occupy LA is calling 4 all Zionist Jews to be run out of USA.. She was fired- evident proof but- like 100 times B4 in history- people tire of Jew treachery, hubris, duplicity. Maybe time #101 will do it.. Michael Collins Piper's new book "Confessions of an Anti-Semite." Victor Thorn's new book "9/11- Made in Israel." Christogenea. org web site. Texe Marrs' book "Conspiracy of 6 Pointed Star." Holohoax will become a clear issue..

  • those who voted for Obama...are you enjoying your change?

  • @dudefromtherock LOL!

Obama didnt cause the Market collapse. thats the free market on its own, he didn't create the TARP bailouts that gave BILLIONS to bailout huge corporations, he was given shit on a platter and told to make it into a morning chicken

but i am happy he killed Bin Laden, limit lobbyist limits to the white house, remove restrictions on stem-cell researcher, increase Navy presence in Somali coast, cars for clunkers, allowing Cubans to visit Cuba, financial industry reform..4more

  • Michael's the man.

  • take our money out of the banks the best protest ever why carnt we even realise our selfs we must be so stupid brainwashed and a lapdog that just licks the shoes of its masters

  • @warchild1976 Go to facebook, search for the event: Halloween Monday, Bank on it, for the last time.

  • Proper's/kudos to you Mr. Moore.

  • It isn't "socialism" Mike is expounding. It's making American capitalism actually work and be accessible for the rest of us and not just giving the Top 1%--95 % of the total wealth of this great republic. It's funny how the tea-baggers and their ilk are so ready to embrace "free market capitalism" even though their being robbed by those they support. Dems and the GOP are both sending us down the river but it isn't their fault alone. It's the American people who put up with it!

  • Bitch in the violet is stupid.

  • Tax payer bank bailouts are NOT capitalism. Why don't you admit you agree with Michael Moore on this one issue?

  • his cunt as daughters go go private school and live like Capitalist pigs ,, fuck this liberal fuck.. and before you start in IM Independent , think moither mary was whor e ,,, so no right wing here but the left and right right suck cock!!

  • Michael Mooron is such a slob. A hypocrite and an absolute disgrace...

  • @DrAvrington fuck yourself and die, communism is coming to america, we will take your business bitch!!!!!

  • @13stevejohnson Good, Perhaps they'll too take your house, your car, your child, your wife, your food, yourself individually and your bank account as well. At least I'll not be the only one missing things that I worked hard for and purchased with my own money.... ;-) Thanks for coming out..... SRA

  • @DrAvrington except thats not what communism is, a business owner did not produce the products and therefore has no right to that profit, the workers do. if you personally worked for your house, your car, then sure you can keep it, but not when you exploit other people through non labor income.

  • @13stevejohnson I think you'd enjoy, after reading Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei, "The Naked Communist" by Skousen, "The Black Book of Communism" written by a collection of former Communists, "Fire in the Minds of Men" by James Billington, "Rise of Radicalism" by Eugene Methvin to name but a few. I take it you are not for 'Free Speech" or Individual Freedoms? PS: those titles are works by both "right" and "left" wing in case you wish to attack my, or their, credibility. Enjoy.

  • @DrAvrington , no i am for free speech, in fact as a liberal i was for the westboro baptist funeral protests, i dont condone it, but they have a right to their opinion, harmful or not on public property, im also for the 2nd amendment.

when it comes to economics, i believe someone should have the right to their labor, capitalism is the opposite of that, creating non labor exploitation which also influences our political system, ie corporations have personhood now, thanks mr roberts

  • @13stevejohnson Interesting. Babeuf, Karl Marx, Lenin, Mao, Castro, Guevara etc. all didn't believe in Free Speech, Freedom of Expression, Individual, Morality, Culture, Nation, Private Property-right to their fruits of their labor which is income (income tax should be illegal). Capitalism is for rite to income, private property and against income tax. I think you would really enjoy "The Naked Communist" and "The Naked Capitalist" by Skousen. Very good reads. Enjoy. Regards SRA.

  • @DrAvrington sorry but private property does not extend to means of production which is a collective institution

  • @13stevejohnson The Communist Manifesto demands the abolishing of Private Property. Under the Capitalist ideology one's income, being the fruits of their labor, from their skills or work toward the development of a product or service is/was to be considered their earnings. Therefore their earnings become their private property which is neither supposed to be taxed nor taxed when an inheritance. The proliferation of taxation, including progressive income tax, are thoroughly Communistic. SRA

  • @13stevejohnson People like Michael Moore push the dictatorial beliefs of a Castro, Lenin or Marx however, in deed, following the same capitalist footsteps as Rockefeller. The fellow has taken full advantage of Capitalism generating immense profit into the many millions from his films, interviews and other self promotional products. A total hypocrite like Al Gore and an exploiter of the masses. It is easy to talk. I'm betting if this fellow lived in USSR, China, N. Korea he'd be poor or killed

  • @DrAvrington didnt michael moore, write, publish, make and direct his movies, didnt he write his book? so shouldnt he be able to see the fruits of his own labor? i would be one thing if he had ownership over a production company, did no work, and then took advantage of all the labor from the actual writers.

  • @13stevejohnson Yes he should and that IS Capitalism my friend. The ideal he continually goes around attacking and condemning especially the exploitation of those working on his various projects, his direct or indirect employees, that produce his products and/or services by either his company or his one satisfying his production/service contract. One cannot play both sides of the fence here to which Michael Moore, and many others especially amongst the Hollywood/Washington elite.Enjoy the reads

  • @DrAvrington no, that is not capitalism. how many people work for michael moore when he wrote his book? his direct labor was put into play there, not any one else, and when he wrote his movies, directed them, and came up with the idea he did most of the work in production, not anyone else. capitalism is where someone does no work and through ownership takes most of the profits, which is the opposite of what michael moore has done.

  • @13stevejohnson Yes that is the Capitalism of Milton Friedman. If I am a writer, own a company and employ people to print my books, make my films that get sold to the public for a profit-for my company and the vendors. The profit is invested in additional labor and assets to grow the company, produce and sell more books and films for public consumption and profit so on and so forth. That's Capitalism. You will very much like the book "The Naked Capitalist/Communist" enjoy. SRA.

  • @DrAvrington someone should get paid for the fruits of there labor, if michael moore did 80% of the work and production then he should get paid that much in profits etc. capitalism is not that. how much work does the owner and shareholders of wal mart do? 0%

  • @13stevejohnson They do, it's called wages which should not be taxed under Capitalism. Moore produces 80% he should be paid as much as the market will bear, after all his expenses and production costs including non-taxed wages. That's capitalism which, aside from taxes, Moore takes full advantage of. Although Walmart employs many people it is a wage slavery operation that exploits the poor. It is the Communist concept of "Free Trade" that allowed it to happen. Read "The Naked Capitalist" SRA.

  • @13stevejohnson If Michael Mooron actually believed what he preached he would have produced, wrote and sold all of his services and products for free not for profit. The fact that he did for profit and not for free indicates his exploitation of the exact concept he openly attacks: Free Enterprise Capitalism. Regards and happy reading SRA

  • I'm just gonna find a farm that needs help...and live on the farm...work for food and a small wage...and wait all this out. Do some of God's work for the second time in my life. I have to say...it didn't pay much...but I was never happier than when I was helping other people.

  • MICHAEL MOORE THANK YOU FOR FIGHTING FOR THE 300,000,000 + PEOPLE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE CAPITALISM EVIL

  • micheal moore is just great

  • Michael, thanks for everything you do. I think you would love Cashtub. Seriously, it's a very funny 60 second that stab at the big banks. It gets right at the heart of the Move Your Money movement.

All the best, Mr. Moore. Keep fighting!

  • Right on Michael... enough of the corporatists!

  • I'm a capitalist... and I agree with Michael Moore on this.

    These banks DESERVE TO FAIL.

  • Everyone in America and abroad should be nothing shy of outraged and pull their money out of any bank! How outrageous we stupid mind numbed lazies put up with this BS. The banks take our money, launder it, and in turn probably make 100% after all is said and done. We the people, the middle class control everyithing and only get 0.2% up to about 1.6% or so on a CD. Yank your money out and keep it as cash. Stand up to government takeovers and banks. If we all banded together...AWESOME!!

  • I have my money with TD bank here in NY. They're a big chain, yes, but the Canadian parent is very strong and they haven't made any fuckups that required bailouts.

  • I would promise not to make any racist comments but I disagre with Michael on oxycontin. I get a hold of some of that and I'm poppin that shit. I HAVE BECOME COMFORTABLE NUMB@!!!

  • I'm a libretarian but I agree with Michael Moore. Americans should withdraw their money from goldman sachs, monsanto and any financial instrument that aids these evil coorporations.

  • This is a WAR to save our and our children's LIVES from these crooks! ARM YOUSELF and pile up the bullets!!!

  • I just want to know who the hell is that monkey wearing purple? MOVE YOUR MONEY TO YOUR COMMUNITY BANK!

  • @silentgirl619 I believe that's Maria Bartiromo. I've been looking at community banks recently -- the bank finder tool at the Move Your Money site [the one Arianna Huffington was promoting] recommended a few that are near me, so I might check 'em out ^_^

  • I closed my accounts at WaMu after it became Chase. BOYCOTT the BAILOUT banks. I now bank at a local credit union which received NO bailout money.

  • Mike is right. Obama is stabbing us all in the back on every single issue!

  • @Dagney77 like every other president... =(

  • Michael, you are really great I wish you were running this country. I loss my job because AAM closed its plant in Buffalo last year What people dont understand is the 100,000 buyout into poverty was taxed 40,000 and no claim to unempolyment it was like we never existed but our paying taxes did mean something didnt it My father worked there for 39 years me 13 2010 would of ben our 100 year anniversary I will never buy a GM again

  • go mike

  • 98 million to kim Jong to give up nuclear weapons from us you and me. 20 million to political prisoners and there rights in Castro's Cuba 6 million to promote civil society in Hugo Chaves's Venezuela. I know lets cut this off and we can pay for it

  • The Banks would have gone BK under Capitalism.

  • The woman in the lavender jacket is so out of touch with reality and yet she is on a NEWS channel telling us how the cow eats the cabbage...she is an idiot lacking common sense to do her own research so she can make an educated statement to the viewers....she is probably first in line for her flu shot as well...maybe that is her problem the squalene is effecting her brain.

  • thats how my math teacher thinks like in class ''never trust banks''

  • Michael is right those bastards on wall street should be arrested no money for them. Universal Health Care needs to happen I think France & Germany is a good role model. If it doesn't change Moore is right we are headed for a nasty revolution.

  • Well Germany is now running towards more privatization in health care, with additional burdens to the employees, and shrinking service and tax support for the public insurances, fostering a three class medical system: private insurances with state of the time service for the high incomes, partly public and partly private insurances for those in the middle class and tax supported public health care with minimum service for the working poor, the old and the unemployed.

  • It´s still much different and on a higher level of service then in the US, but the social welfare state times of Germany are over, cause big business runs the mainstream media, the public relations and the politics here too.

  • No mention of the federal reserves role in all this? Price fixing, creating bubbles, etc

I wish Michael moore would watch "the money masters" video

  • big fat whore mrs cheney

  • ROCK on Mike!!!!

  • Obama missed his opportunity. He should have shut those banks down when the time was right. He could have changed the culture on Wall Street; Instead, they just spit on him with these bonuses. He needs to wake up from this banker-induced stupor!

  • What a great idea. Too bad Roosevelt didnt think of that during the Great Depression. I mean, why would Obama want to try and help fix our national bank system when he could ravage it and destroy our country's economy in the process? That's real solid thinking there, tons of foresight.

  • RIGHT ON MICHAEL MOORE!

  • what is the purpose of this blonde next to Joe?

  • she is like the fox aging chicks except she doesn't wear mini skirts and flash the camera

  • its just like manpower, the banks that is... they make money off of you, they don't actually work for it.. they are predators.

that simple to me. seriously why do we even need banks? what do they do?

they hold your money and lend you money they don't have!!

when its that simple how stupid it is, of course its gonna fall apart eventually.

  • bank of american getting bailouts, then giving the bailout money to executives - that's not capitalism. it's "corpratism" - I don't know why the trailer-text calls it capitalism.

  • Corporatism IS capitalist!!!

PRIVATE money and fortune are made by corporations!!

    THAT'S CAPITALISM!!!

  • You had better stop saying that, or the invisible hand will come and strangle you. You might say that it's not invisible at all, and it's from the people in power. But that's just an optical illusion created by being a Commie-Nazi-Fascist-General Evil Doer.

  • Hey Mike!

Where can i find a list of banks that took the tarp money?

  • Michael Moore rocks! All the best from a Romanian.

  • 10:00 and not a word from Howard Dean. his hands are dirty as well

  • Comment removed

  • Oh please try... you have a communist propoganda channel .. you MUST know. Tell us!

  • Issues717 - checked your page.... another communist. M. Moore would be so proud of you.

  • Comment removed

  • You are an idiot.

  • I won't even dignify that with an answer, to you anybody who doesn't march lock step with Rush and O'lielly are communists. You have shown that you have no idea what you're talking about.

  • You are an idiot - that was answered, but you ignore it. You are nothing more than a propagandist.

  • Communism (wealth redistribution):

    China: 70 million deaths

    USSR: 23 million deaths

    Vietnam: 1 million deaths

    North Korea: 2 million deaths

    Cambodia: 2 million deaths

    Eastern Europe: 1 million deaths

    Latin America: 150,000 deaths

    Africa: 1.7 million deaths

    Afghanistan: 1.5 million deaths

  • CAPITALISM HAS KILLED BILLIONS - from its numerous wars of colonization and slavery to all those who die from lack of health care and food today

  • And it was great with communism? What about Mao in China, the killings in Central America, Stalin, etc?

    Any system has it's demons.

  • (1/6)

Yes there were famines when Mao took power but there had always been famines in China and while their changing around the distribution system did probably exacerbate that, it would be erroneous to blame that all on socialism and not look at the other factors involved.

  • (2/6)

Stalin was far from an angel but the numbers that are attributed to him in the popular western press are highly inflated and also include famine victims during a vicious civil war, it would be just as fair to attribute those to the counterrevolutionaries as they could have just accepted the regime and tried to work within it.

  • (3/6)

Upon examination their overall incarceration rates, except for particular periods; the purges, the war, are on average the same or less as other "western democratic" countries of the time. If you are claiming mass executions of millions than where is the physical evidence? If not the present gov't, than certainly the Yeltsen Gov't would have had an interest in discrediting Communists

  • (4/6)

"In 1993, for the first time, several historians gained access to previously secret Soviet police archives and were able to establish well-documented estimates of prison and labor camp populations. They found that the total population of the entire gulag as of January 1939, near the end of the great purges was 2,022,976." Michael Parenti, "Blackshirts and Reds"

  • (5/6)

So alot of what we have heard here about the great Gulag system is a myth; it was just the countries particular version of a prison system. The actual statistics show that they had an imprisonment rate similar to the western European nations.

What are we approaching 9, 10% here? There are 1000 new prisoners added each week. (Chicago Sun Times, May, 22, 2006)

  • (6/6)

And if South America is mentioned than the involvement of the US in Reagan's illegal war against Nicaragua must be mentioned as the main source of grief. So again here it is not socialism that causes the deaths, but the capitalist financed and initiated violence.

  • So what I'm reading here is nothing more than some revisionist history. Oh we didn't kill or arrest as many people as "capitalists" so it's a better system.

Sorry buddy, but I'm a big believer in the more power and money you put into the individual's hands the better off we all are.

Power and greed corrupt. Even Michael Moore pointed out we, as consumers, enable these banks to exist. Maybe instead of ending capitalism, we should end the banks that took the bailouts.

    I already am.

  • I wish you luck in that, I truly do, but it will accomplish nothing until the system is changed as a whole.

    Peace

  • @ Rundst tries to convince us that capitalism has killed billions. Well, true capitalism (for libertarians) doesn't colonize or enslave. If the people don't have health care or food, it's because those in power, like now, & in past, have set up the system (not capitalist) where people had no access or upward mobility. This guy wants you to think it's capitalism, when it's actually the interference by socialists & communists with capitalism & free market economies & policies that causes problem.

  • (1/9)

It is just superficial trash for anyone to try and argue that since there is 'socialism' in the name... To do so, only proves that they know as much about history as someone who would say a groundhog is part of the porcine family knows about biology. The fact remains fascism is recognized through proper academic standards to be capitalist, as I demonstrated fascism fought in defense of capitalism, It is typically the Libertarians that try to pass an alternative history along

  • (2/9)

Libertarians work from the a priori position that markets are always "good" and natural, when they are in fact neither. There is no such thing and never has been such a thing as a "free-market". All markets are created and will seek out regulation. A black market starts as a "free-market" but it is quickly taken over by the underworld and therefore regulated, or it is legitimized and regulated by the government, so the natural state of a market is to seek out regulation

  • (3/9)

So it is not a case of IF the market is regulated, but by and for whom. Deregulation actually just pushes the regulation of the market onto the largest of the producers by default and they then "regulate" it for their own benefit. Additionally Socialism is at the opposite end of the political spectrum as fascism, which is rightfully recognized as capitalist in real world academia, And I mean the REAL academic political spectrum and not the made up Libertarian one.

  • (4/9)

Libertarian philosophy is simplistic and disingenuous. It is basically: "Everything the market does is good, and anything the gov't does is bad. If there was a negative outcome to any market action it was because of gov't interference - no matter how much twisting of history and superficial interpretations they have to do to prove it. They hypocritically separate the actions taken on behalf of those using the market and designing its rules, with those enforcing them.

  • (5/9)

They believe that the only rights that really matter are property rights, that inviolate private property is the only true measure of freedom. And so if you don't have any too bad, let them find somebody else's property to complain on. They require perfection as the only applicable standard to judge government: libertarianism, being imaginary, cannot be fairly judged to have flaws.

  • (6/9)

Libertarians are the worst brand of rightist. Their idea of freedom is the market. A market for freedom means that only those who can afford it are truly free. Libertarians are the new ultra-right hidden in the alluring prose of freedom. But it is a freedom few can afford. It is the libertarian camp that wants all of our public assets destroyed; they are the radical privatizers who carry on the Neocon mantra while denying it. Those who believe gov't doesn't work have no reason to be in it

  • (7/9)

Libertarians have trumpeted the virtues of apartheid South Africa and the Saipan garment industry because of their supposed freedom. Business is free to pay lower wages, keep its employees locked in, and destroy the environment cause thats profitable and what the market demands. Those who don't can't compete in the "market" and will be swallowed

  • (8/9)

Libertarianism is rule by money not democracy or freedom. In every case where free market principles were instituted the gap between rich and poor increased, as did poverty and brutal oppression. Chile, Colombia, Saipan, and a Bantustan set up in South Africa without any regulation or corporate income tax,

  • (9/9)

a false state specifically designed to exploit and victimize the people, that was described by one of your own as a libertarian mecca You talk about freedom, but what it really means is for the corporations to do as they please. Free to pollute, free to increase hours while decreasing pay, free to buy private police forces to keep workers in line if they try to organize. Freedom is not a market. I reiterate, Libertarians are the worst kind of righty!

  • (1/16)

Bullshit the Nazi's were capitalist, all of history recognizes that. Except for the state bank, the German Banks were private as were almost all industry in both countries. By far almost all German business was private and for private profit, they even allowed foreign corporations to operate for profit and repatriate their profits. Basically the only German state enterprise was the Herman Goring Works; which as the name implies was really the private fiefdom of Goring.

  • (2/16)

That one quote is dragged out a lot by the amateurs and the propagandists, but Hitler was a well known lair and the actual facts of fascist rule belie that statement. The Nazi idea of community was a blood and soil nationalism. In a roundabout way he was referring to that. The Nazi's liked to give the impression, like any wise politician, to appear to be a common person, especially in '27 when he supposedly said those words, and they were still trying win votes from workers.

  • (3/16)

We should look and see more truth behind his Jan. '32 speech in front of some 650 businessmen as the Industry Club in Dusseldorf, when he denounced Marxism as the source of all of Germany's ills and emphasized the importance of private property. And we can believe that, because that is how he acted. He attacked socialism, communism and leftists in general, and protected private property that was not slow in meeting the needs for his war.

  • (4/16)

Mussolini was backed by the capitalists to fight the socialists and leftist parties, as was Hitler, they both were sponsored by capitalists and had street battles with the socialists and communists.

Both gained their support from the middle and upper classes. There are two main currents recognizable in fascism from the beginning; nationalism and capitalist anti-leftism, as demonstrated in Italy during its early formation.

  • (5/16)

"Although the tenor of fascism could vary from one of these towns to the next, the movement always combined a lawless anti-Marxism with a bellicose desire to uphold the nation's recent victory in war." "Mussolini's Italy" RJB Bosworth p163,

  • (6/16)

"He (Mussolini) was relieved no doubt to find the commanding heights of Italian capitalism joining the great majority of the liberal order and certainly most landowners in applauding the march on Rome." (don't misread here, the word 'liberal' is being used in its actual form and not the politicized form that exists in the US. One could substitute 'upper middle-class' or 'Petty Bourgeoisie' here)

  • (7/16)

"Thereafter he and de' Stefani were careful to present the new government as fiscally orthodox, preoccupied with cutting wasteful expenditure but willing to assist capital by the denationalization of the telephone network and the cancellation of Giolitti's investigation into excessive war profits, and determined to balance the budget." Ibid, p224, Bosworth

    (wasn't that McCains platform too?)

  • (8/16)

The actions of the fascists showed their capitalist intentions.

"Once in power the fascists issued the so called "Carta del Lavoro" or Labor Charter which encouraged private entrepreneurship and specifically stated, "State intervention in economic production will only happen when private initiative is lacking or insufficient and when the political interests of the state are directly involved." ibid p227, Bosworth

  • (9/16)

It is well known among real historians that the Italian fascists did the bidding of capitalism during their reign, even if at times it would complain.

"Corporatism although it may have sometimes constrained Italian business and although autarchy may have dragooned rich Italians in ways they disliked, entailed no serious leap towards collectivized economy." ibid, p313, Bosworth

  • (10/16)

[Although modern economic literature usually fails to notice it, the Nazi government in 1930s Germany undertook a wide scale privatization policy. The government sold public ownership in several state-owned firms in different sectors. In addition to this, delivery of some public services previously produced by the public sector was transferred to the private sector, mainly to organizations within the Nazi Party.]

  • (11/16) [Both Mussolini and Hitler showed their gratitude to their big business patrons by privatizing many perfectly solvent state-owned steel mills, power plants, banks and steamship companies. Both regimes dipped heavily into the public treasury to re-float or subsidize (private) heavy industry. Agribusiness farming was expanded and heavily subsidized.

Both states guaranteed a return on the capital invested by giant corporations while assuming most of the risks and losses on investments. As is often the case with reactionary regimes, public capital was raided by private capital.]

Remember the movie Shindler's list - Shindler was a capitalist running a business for private profit with cheap labor, a capitalist dream. Remember Niemoller's verse: (if you know it at all) "First they came for the Socialists..." What your trying to have us believe is that the violently anti-Marxist, anti-Socialist Hitler, the Hitler that started the greatest war in history to rid the world of Bolshevism and Socialism, was a Socialist? Wow what a case of self hatred!

  • @Rundst tries to make people believe that capitalists dream of using slave labor. And that Hitler's Nazi party, the National Socialist Party, wasn't socialist. Or that socialist is OK or good or that communist is good or ok or something. I'm not sure what the point is, except spreading more opposite-land B.S. talk around, hoping to get a believer. In America, we (true patriots) believe in the free market, civil liberties and truth. Everything that socialists have destroyed over the last years.

["While Hitler's attitude towards liberalism was one of contempt, towards Marxism he showed an implacable hostility Ignoring the profound differences between Communism and Social Democracy in practice and the bitter hostility between the rival working class parties, he saw in their common ideology the embodiment of all that he detested

Once again, the issue is settled in real world academia, Fascism is capitalist and rightist, period. It is only the libertarians that try to argue otherwise and it is a position that is not recognized in any history class in the world; and that right there shows how much the libertarian school must twist to fit the world into their preconceived 'free-market' fantasy. The rest of their stuff is the same, it cannot stand against honest investigation and facts.

  • Dude ..... i totally agree with everything you said!!!!

finally someone who knows what he's talking about!!! THX

    PEACE

  • @BlueSkies360: Nazi's were "National Socialist" party. Now there's a group in the US dumbing down the population, trying to convince the people of opposite-world where facists are capitalists and war is peace and spend money to save money.

It's all BS propaganda to trick the people. They're making libertarians out to be "invalid" or not capable of thinking or intellectually dishonest. Creating a climate of fear, presenting gov as "savior" for the masses. WTF?! No way, get outta the way, gov.

  • Michael -- love to you !!!

    Wonderful . . . !!!

  • Congratulations to Michael, his film "Capitalism" just went over 10 million dollars in box office. In a few days, he will have 4 of the top 9 biggest grossing documentaries in motion picture history.

Please note that theaters and the studio get most of this money.

  • check your math.

aprox 3 million people in USA.

It's not like we are talking about top 0.05%

  • 1 out of 100 is still ridiculous.
