my hair was dyed an auburn-ish hair colour and when i bleached my hair it only lifted to an orange tone >_> i tried re-bleaching it and it still won't get the orange out :/ will this stuff get the orange out???
I put in streaks of blonde, i have naturally dark brown hair and most of it turned out a pretty color using 40 volume bleach but the largest streak up front is kinda yellow... and blotchy... do you think bleaching it again would help, or should i just go straight for the toner and blonde shampoo? also... with the 'silver' shampoo, is it safe to use on dark hair... like if i was just to wash my hair all over?
So i just bleach out black from my hair an its prettyyyyyy orange do you think these would work ive tried like pracrically everything an its pretty harsh on my hair so any advice ???? Thankz :)
omg so spunky, i love it! thanks for the advice. currently, my roots are highlighter yellow, while my tips gradient to violet. this was NOT on purpose, but i suppose there are always worse results. at least the color is consistent... haha. definitely going to give that goldwell soft color stuff a go.
i deep conditioned every day for years! lol. i started doing it after katherine heigl told a magazine that it's how she keeps her hair really soft. haha. i haven't as much recently b/c i moved somewhere with "soft water" and have felt i don't need to as much. but i would leave conditioner on for the entire length of my shower.
You talked about the pink dye. I am having the hardest time getting the pink out of mine!. I used Splat Pink Fetish and.....wow! That stuff will not come out! I used it about 8 months ago and then I dyed it black and it was "gone"...or so I thought. Bleached it last night and it is still lurking there like "Here I am again! Remeber me!?" They weren't kidding when they made that color! Needless to say I was upset.
i just bleached my hair and about 2 inches of roots are gold and the rest of my hair is blonde. what color toner do i need, because the one i used didnt obvisiously work..please help!
@mistylynnevans If I were you I wouldn't go with a toner.. It depends on what color blonde your TRYING to get. If I were you (I have brown hair and frequently dye and bleach my hair) I would try using a light ash blonde color with a 20-30 developer. Use cream color and brush it onto the roots for about 20-30 minutes checking it frequently. Once you see the roots lightening pull the hair color all the way through the hair to the roots to give it an all over even tone fo 10 mins. Hope it helps!
my hair is a light orange and i dont really know how to get it on to the blonde sooooooooooo can you give me a way to do it with out the bleach maybe some kind of dye then a toner and purple shampoo
@hherdhh The goldwell soft color I mention in this video is not a bleach, and it DID help with removing a lot of brassy tones. I loved it. I used the purple shampoo religiously, and I would also spray my hair with 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% water and go for a run (or just go outside) This helps to give it an even lighter look. Make sure to rinse your hair after at most an hour though. Happy lightening :)
please, help...i died my hair bleach blonde with a store bought brand..my roots turned orange..mind you, im a dirty blonde. then i went to sallys and they gave me a toner/developer of ash blonde..it turned the rest of my hair grey..went back to sallys..they gave me bleach..and now my roots are back to orange and i have orange/blonde hair.. HELP..please..
@jamiepolinski1 SALON! as much as you don't want to hear it at least go & ask a stylist what to do! sally's employees are NOT professionals. you need a real professional's opinion. they know that times are tough and a lot of people can't afford to get their hair dyed at a salon but if you go in and ask they will never turn you down.
@kittyland16 The color and developer I used, (or any other type of semi permanent color from a beauty store) will get you lighter, as well as helping to tone out brassiness. And then a toner like the goldwell I mentioned will help to take out even more brassiness. Since the red will really want to stick to your hair, it might take both products. A stylist visit is always recommended, but you can achieve my color with a couple applications, and a little patience as well. :)
Mine is platinum. I use Sheer Delight Roux oil based bleach from Sallys
It takes like 70 mins to get it in then I let it sit for an hour after that. I bleached it until it was a frozen butter color which took like 6 months, and then to tone, ALL I do is Shimmer Lights and leave it in for exactly three mins and then I use the massaging water setting from my shower head to get it out. I've never been disappointed. Anyone have any questions please msg me :)
idk if you want to know why the violet toner works but it works because hair color has a lot to do with the color wheel and orange and violet are acrossed from each other so it cancels each other out
you really should of thought about what you were saying before you said "if your hair turned orangey, yellowy and disgusting!"! its really offensive to gingers! :'(
I bleached my hair twice and I still have a strong orange color.. I'm going to dye it ash blonde and then bleach it again? You think that will help? + I am using silver shampoo from Loreal..
Okay so I've bleached my hair 3 times after I had a bright red.
my roots & hair turn yellow but like a goldenish...& it left like a orange kind of color all over the top of my hair! (I'm a boy) how can I get rid of the color & get a color like yours :O <3
hahaha i remember when my hair came out orange. SO SO SO embarrassing (the high lights came out pretty orange). my old crush asked why i did it to my hair :/ i still have trauma from that incident lol.
I need help bringing my manic vampire red to blonde and I love your color :) The red is really red... but before I stained with vampire red I managed to bring the color up to almost orangie blonde... so... I was wondering if you could please, please, please help me? I thought you mentioned you had red too? Thanks love in advance...
@eriica91 L'oreal Natures's Therapy for dry processed hair. I also put on a leave in conditioner (just a little bit) by the same brand, called mega repair recovery complex. Purchased both at my local beauty supply store. $15.99 for 16oz of the deep conditioner. $7.99 for the leave in.
if u want fun color hair some times go to sallys beauty shop and look at the hair make sure its from manic panic they have alot of fun colors that fade and does not leave colors in and a great way is get ur blow drier and dry it . its brighter and colorful.
I used live colour on top of bleech DO NOT use this xxl extra platinum it tears shreds from your hair and has left me worse with yellow and orange hair:{{ most products on youube are from U.S.A is there any chance this mouse is over the UK?
you just need to add Blue Variacion to your hair color and it will get rid off orange glow. google blue variacion hair and you should be able to find it on the web
Heyy.. I have a question.. I already bleached my hair and I toned my hair down, but for some weird reason the toner went from that bright yellow color to almost looking green. Did I do something wrong?? I think the toner was called Ash Blonde.. and will those shappoo still work for me??
@nessielove22 Ash has green undertones and that's why you're hair is looking the way it does. To counteract the green you need to use something with a red base because red and green are complimentary pigments and create a neutral tone.
@nessielove22 this happened to me before...i just washed it a few times and it came out...always use a toner with a violet base to get rid of the yellow..wella white lady...and manic panic virgin snow are awesome!!
@nessielove22 o if your roots are dark you will have to bleach again..but only the root area...do not rebleach your whole head! when your roots are light enough..shampoo...then tone your whole head..if you are platinum..wella white lady and manic panic virgin snow are really good...my hair is naturally darkest brown..and have been keeping it platinum for awhile now! :)
@jenjen1034 Omg! Thank you so much. But now I'm thinking about going drity blonde since my roots starts showing right away.. Which sucks but thanks.. should i still bleach my hair.. ???
@nessielove22 What color is your hair now? You can get a semi permanent hair color at a beauty supply store for the roots, which will get them pretty light. (It's not in a box, its color and then you buy the developer) Then just tone it.
@leatyelene my hair is orange and my mum baught colour strip will that take the orange out and leave it like a dark blonde? or lighten it or anything?
@Yeslekification are you an idiot. roots don't go under your skull. goes under the skin/scalp. & also, EVERYONE calls it roots, the closest to the scalp. don't act all smartass.
@Yeslekification lol you silly silly silly little girl. the hair that has grown out from your scalp is called the roots, you dont have bloody roots under your scalp, well you might have cos you sure as hell havent got a brain growing in there.
please help! :'( i had my hair dyed a dark brown violet color and i recently had some highlights put in but my highlights came out ORANGY and brassy! i want to use a toner maybe the wella silver lady? have any suggestions on what to do to help elliminate the orangy brassiness? when applying a toner do i mix with a 20% or 10% developer on dry or wet hair? and is it ok to apply all over my hair even on my dark shade or will that just lift my base color? do i just apply to my highlights?
ty 4 ur tips!!! i do my hair myself cuz its long and cost alot at salons!!! :)..usually brown to blonde, but im doin red( faded) to blonde and im nervous!!! i hate that orange!! :( rawr ...lol thanx again.
I used the Loreal Hair color remover and left it in for the full 60 minutes. Then I used a Garnier hair color and i have orange hair now. XD I am soo using these tips!
what is the name of the Purple shampoo? does it get rid of orange roots? my hair is highlighted, colored and bleached and ends are light, but roots are orangish, yellow, carmelicious and i wanna lighten it ..thanks! :)
you're so cute! I'm scared! I'm turning orange but I'm looking at all kinds of things...wish me luck as I'm so dark naturally...maybe if all else fails i'll be red but here's hoping I can do it!
i loooove when people tell about their expirience with certain products so thank you for that. but i little tip-- you really should not deep condition your hair every day cuz you could use a little volume and that would definetely help that.. :)
ok so i bought the shimmer lights and i was wondering if i wash my hair with it more than once a week will my hair turn purple. its really orange right now.
ok so i bought the shimmer lights and i was wondering if i wash my hair with it more thatn once a week will my hair turn purple. its really orange right now.
In the back of the head, behind some of the platinum, it's orange/brassy and I have no idea how to fix it.
So is there anyway I can cancel out the brassy/orange-ness? I want like fully platinum hair.
Oh and people say it looks light light light green in certain lighting. Whats up with that? x___x;
I just bleached it last night so I don't know if I should wait a week before bleaching it/toning it again or just go today or sometime this week and ask for the salon to get rid of the brassiness.
I wanted to mention that I put in Goldwell Soft Color either my hair is too tangled to get it through my hair (..could not get the comb through! mess.) or I have a lot of hair and it just wasnt enough to soak. So I don't know if I will buy it again, I am also not sure if it changed my hair color. Seems maybe a little lighter in the highlighted areas.
It lightens the most and eliminates orange the best, despite what you hear about getting purple based products. Purple is good if your hair is already lightened and just needs toning, but for dark roots you can't beat the blue bleach. Good luck!! ;-)
Also, the Sally's version of Kaleidocolors bleach is safe to put directly on the scalp, and tones at the same time. It will be on the shelf right next to the Kaleidocolors. It costs only half as much! Use it with a 30 vol creme developer, you can leave it on up to an hour. You'll see different color tubs, GET THE BLUE ONE!!
I see you are using what looks like a demi permanent with a 9 vol developer, I just like the Ion because it is notoriously gentle and consistently provides great color results, to tame those orange tones, you'll need a level 10 ash tone, the box might say 10A or something like that. You can get all of these things from Sally Beauty Supply, the color and toner cost about $7-8.
Too much protein, and your hair be become brittle and break off. Too much moisture, and it is extremely limp, lifeless, and thin from malnourishment. Avoid too much silicone based ingredients in your products, they temporarily smooth and shine the hair, but repeated usage will snap your hair like a twig. Lots of products that claim to tame frizzies work because of silicone content. 2 B CONT--
You need a deep conditioner 1-2x per week, the Shimmer Lights isn't enough. A great one from Sally's is L'oreal Nature's Therapy in the tub, or, even cheaper, Tresemme Vitamin H. Look at the first 5 ingredients in your conditioner, those are the most important, you want some kind of protein, like hydrolyzed protein, silk or wheat kind. Balancing protein and moisture is KEY in a good conditioner for colored/bleached hair. 2 B CONT--
Sweetheart, you have the right idea, but it can be much simpler for you. (I'm a hairdresser, and a total cheapskate too, I won't steer you wrong here.) After you've bleached, immediately tone the roots with Ion demi-permanent used with Ion 10 volume developer, leave on for 20 minutes, or 30 minutes if you're hair is really orange at the roots. TO BE CONT ON NEXT POST-

I used the Loreal Hair color remover and left it in for the full 60 minutes. Then I used a Garnier hair color and i have orange hair now. XD I am soo using these tips!

i loooove when people tell about their expirience with certain products so thank you for that. but i little tip-- you really should not deep condition your hair every day cuz you could use a little volume and that would definetely help that.. :)

Hi which deep conditioner do you use and which toner do you highly recommend to get the orangey out of my blonde?:)thanks

In the back of the head, behind some of the platinum, it's orange/brassy and I have no idea how to fix it.
So is there anyway I can cancel out the brassy/orange-ness? I want like fully platinum hair.
Oh and people say it looks light light light green in certain lighting. Whats up with that? x___x;
