alright, you right click the clip that you wanna slow down/speed up, and click "video effects".

There should be 2 choices there saying "Slow Down (Half speed)" and "Speed Up (Double)" or something like that. Click one of them, and the clip that you chose will either slow down or speed up, depending on which one you choose.

You can speed up or slow down the clip up to 6 times, but it can seriously screw up and lag your computer if you do it more than three or four times

well, if that dosn't work, go to "Tools", and the video effects will be there.

Some video effects will appear in the collections. Scroll all the way to the bottom and the video effects "Speed Up, Double" and "Slow Down, Half" should be there, along with a lot of other video effects (try all of them if you want).

Double-click one of them, and the video clip that is selected presently will have the effect you chose.

i can get clips to go fast and slow but not adio...does it only work with movies and stuff?

First check if the clip you have even has any audio.

Then make sure that your then make sure that you have your speakers or earphones or headphones or whatever you use to listen to stuff on the computer is working properly and is on.

Sadly, yes. That's one of the disadvantages of Windows Movie Maker.

If you want to use audio that's sped up, but the video is at normal speed, it's kinda complicated to do.

To speed up audio only, you have to put the audio you want to speed up, add like a picture or something to the video part of the timeline, just something that has a small file size. Then save it as a video. (this is continued)

After that, import that into WMM, and put it into the video part of the timeline. Use the speed up video effect on it, then save it again as a video.

Then, import that into WMM AGAIN. This time, put it into the audio part of the timeline, and save it as an audio file. Finally, import the audio file you just created into WMM, and put it into the video you want it to be.
