The ar.drone is currently wi-fi only, there is no need of a Internet wi-fi or hotspot because the drone, itself, create his own wi-fi connection as a communication signal. I know that if you want to control the drone and be connected to the Internet on a iPod, iPhone or iPad, connect to the drone using wi-fi and use the Bluetooth connection for the Internet, trust me, even I can do that using a Mac with Internet sharing to Bluetooth and then connect my idevices to the Bluetooth (1 device at a t

My mates got kinda one of these but not as good, he uses his for hiding his weed, he straps his weed to it at night fly's it onto his roof turns it off and then fly's it back down the next day. The first one he had ran out of battery even in standby and had to get it back by ladder the next morning lol.. This new one just stays up there all night and fly's down fine the next day! and NO I won't tell you where he lives LOL

In my experience, shite does not fly well at all, although if you throw it hard enough it will stay airbourne for a while. The AR Drone on the other hand will fly fairly well for 10 to 15 minutes and can change direction, climb, turn and all sorts of other fun things that a lump of shite cannot.
