  • @Liteninbug

Uh, Alaska Airlines is still in business.

  • @Liteninbug Alaska Airlines is still flying and doing well fyi...

  • @Liteninbug Sir, I just flew from Anchorage Alaska to Los Angeles in them a few hours ago. They're still in biz.

  • OMG Andy Dick you were so cute! O wonder everyone thought u were gay!

  • Funny how even in 1987 this is basically becoming true. I bet they'll start charging to take a shit real soon. Andy Dick eating a sandwich was a nice touch too:D

  • @kevinbrueck Shit! That's funny!

  • This is "totally awesome". Alaska Airlines employed some impressive talent in the 1980's. This made even more funny when one considers how insulting airline policy is a quarter-century later.... in fact this was oddly prophetic, come to think of it, isn't it?

  • This is former NBA Coach and player Bob Weiss!

  • These other airlines Alaskan Airlines is talking about is just like the government today.

  • Isn't RyanAir considering charging Pax to use the toilet?

  • Actually, Jimmy, that's one of the best voices in the world, Peter Thomas, and not Neil Ross. I know because I was there. Peter voiced all of these Joe Sedelmaier commercials.

  • @jackalise Peter Thomas also narrates episodes of Forensic Files on TruTV.

  • Yes, that is Andy Dick.

  • What great foresight Alaska AIrlines. You are so prophetic.

  • ★★★★★

  • Ha. If you're like me and fly in the night, Lavatory fees would be the worst. Everybody would be sleeping and you have no change....

  • Neil Ross, narrator extraordinaire, did the voice here. And he did work for American at the exact same time.

  • For me, free toilet facilities would be a prerequisite before I bought a ticket.

  • @Andy120290Returns

I absoultely agree. Nowhere should charge anyone whether it be airlines, train stations, wherever, no single place should charge people to use toilets. It exploits people's basic needs.

  • the scary thing is that one airline is actually considering doing that right now!!! it's all over the news!

  • @qt4good I know...Ryanair is almost ready with this...

  • isn't the guy at :06 a Young Andy Dick?From :06 to :09 - can anyone verify that?

  • they are going to have one stinky plane if they do that....like a bus I took once with no t

  • Per Reuters today, Ryanair is considering this.

  • I don't think passengers will enjoy the lavatory fee. I wonder if US Airways is planning to do the same since they seem to love charging fees to its customers.

  • Except ryanair base price is like 50 bucks for a flight, but you pay for anything you need.

  • I loved watching this commercial back in the day during Blazer games lol.

  • Does anyone have the old 80's Alaska Airlines commercial with the man in the limo at the end, looking like he had been put through the ringer? That was a funny one. Someone please post.

  • With today's airline business model of charging extra for every extra item, this commercial would be even more relevant today.

  • this is so classic!! alaskan airlines commercials from late 80s / early 90s were the BEST ever... they should air them again.

do you have the one with the "reconstituted onions" and the "tomatoes the size of a garden pea"?

or the guy holding the ticket for gate 401 and he looks up at the sign that says "gate 3"?

  • Are you sure it's not Ryanair?

  • Yes, that's Andy Dick at 0:06!

  • Is that Andy Dick at :06?

  • I wouldn't be surprizwed if the pay toilets come very soon!

  • God help us all if they do!

  • This is commercial comedy gold! Doing the bathroom dance while asking for 2 quarters for 5 dollars! This is fucking funny ass shit that beats any crap from today

  • it's great .. just great!

  • This one is great. I can't believe I found it. I remember commercial from living in California in the 1980s. A commercial worth watching again and again.

  • I second that.

  • This commercial is classic comedy gold! The "2 quarters for 5 dollars" dance has become the stuff of legends

  • The Alaskan Airlines commercial campaign is nothing short of brilliant!
