A statement like war happens is a passive statement that seeks to accept it as an inevitable act of man that can't be changed. In all actuality it can be changed if mankind as a whole changes and suppresses the vices of greed, ambition, and a lack of respect of life.
And I must apologize, but that will not happen. It's not out of any "passivity" or laziness that I say this; it's the acknowledgement of diverse circumstances and peoples. War is a horrid thing; but is world peace under any circumstances worth the cost?

If you study the different religious societies and cultures you'll see that a common ground can be found in certain moral principles such as honesty, respect for human life (the degree of respect however does vary), and common goodwill to your fellow man. It is largely the lack of societies holding those in power accountable.
Similar statements were made about civil rights and women's rights back in the day, that it could never be a reality. But because of the acts of those who believed in a change, and acted upon their desire to bring about that change, a change did happen. I do believe that world peace is a stretch at most, but the abolishment of war no. Until mankind realizes that creating new technology for the purpose of war actually drives war, we will continue to have war.

Well I don't think any of this matters. She is part of congress and congress has all authority over war. NOT the president, contrary to popular belief. She is also one to blame for the war happening right now along with all of the senators and representatives that approved the war. Congress has all the power to end war and they haven't so its their fault. They also have to fund the war. They could've easily cut off the money supply but they didn't do that either.

I was saying the statement is a passive statement not you individually. But diverse circumstances and people does not justify greed, immorality and violence. If you study the different religious societies and cultures you'll see that a common ground can be found in certain moral principles such as honesty, respect for human life (the degree of respect however does vary), and common goodwill to your fellow man. It is largely the lack of societies holding those in power accountable.

Similar statements were made about civil rights and women's rights back in the day, that it could never be a reality. But because of the acts of those who believed in a change, and acted upon their desire to bring about that change, a change did happen. I do believe that world peace is a stretch at most, but the abolishment of war no. Until mankind realizes that creating new technology for the purpose of war actually drives war, we will continue to have war.

Some people are always going to be ignorant. We should simply accept the fact that they are ignorant and expect them to do nothing to help us. In this case, we would have to live by example and do things ourselves, like not driving cars and using alternate energy sources and things like that (which you and I already do). So I don't think there's any need for agitation on either side of the argument, you know?

Well you know what? Iam one of the 18 million people who voted for Hillary and volunteered and donated. I never said I won't vote for Obama. I will, and I will cast my vote with pride but I wish Hillary could have made it. Iam absolutely positive you are not perfect and neither is she so get off her back. It also makes me angry that some guy who has only been in the Senate for 3 years can come and tell her that she can't do it. She has been working all her life for this.

One thing you and the media seem to never mention at all. Obama also got 18 million votes and more delegates and he won the nomination fair and square. He is not just "some guy who has only been in the Senate for 3 years." He is a 46 year old who has spent the better part of the last 25 years in public service. I understand you wanted Hillary but your response is a contradiction. You say you will cast your vote for Obama with pride and then you disdainfully say he's just "some guy."

He is just some guy.. just in an empty suit. Look at it like a job, who is most qualified? Sure the youthful guy has spirit,conviction, passion.. but what has he done? I do not vote, and therefore do not care one way or the other. I would want the surgeon who has performed surgeries for 25-30+ years rather than the guy just fresh out of college.
