  • All I'm sayin is I prefer playing the spectrum version.

  • soo cool :-)

  • Some of the sprites on this version are actually bigger than the arcade ones, thats not always a good thing though because the game is slower because of it.

  • I had this game and I never got past the second level. Perhaps the programmers thought a play tester would come too expensive. I think a play tester would have done this game some good.

  • we should have this run again on iOS device!

  • THis version is terrible the speccy version played much better imo.

  • @CountVarg

you should compare 8-bit versions of Operation Wolf

Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Sinclair ZX Spectrum

pointless comparing 16-bit and 8-bit version of games

    Amiga's had a 7 MHz, 14 MHz, 16 MHz, 25 MHz CPU

Sinclair ZX Spectrum had a piss weak 3.58 MHz CPU

all or most ZX Spectrum games had inferior playability

  • @CountVarg

Speccy computers had 3 MHz CPU

the pace of the ZX Spectrum games

is terribly slow than the Amiga games

Amiga games play better than Speccy

  • I had both ,the C64 & Amiga !! The game was much easier on the C64 than on Amiga !! But fun fun fun ......

  • I wonder why did they mirrored the operations map...

  • @NOTHlNG That's an interesting detail to spot. In c64 version the levels are positioned as in the coin-op version.

  • @einokeino303 That's it. I always thought that making a conversion means that you should make an accurate copy...as accurate as you could. Plus, that was a really unnecessary modification.

    Never mind.

The interlude pictures are really close to the originals at least. :)

  • Failed in my mission? B*** I put my life on the line!

  • 1:49 Shooting a pig yields moar ammo. This is needed in modern games. AMMO PIG

  • The key level remains the second: once you pass through it, you can easily reach the sixth.

When I was 13, this was my first Amiga game. Since I had no other games for a while, I spent 2 months playing only on this, and then I could reach the end of the sixth level without using any cheats. But I never destroyed the final copter...

  • Operation Woo. Sounds like Mr Plinkett. Not a bad copy, but still didn't capture the fun of the arcade.

  • Oh mate the army you fight for in the game sucks, as they should have support you rather than leaving the brave private fighting an entire army by him self.

  • @Alex67fr well, that's how it was back then in the 80s. take Rambo, John Matrix, and Braddock. they didn't need help 90% of the time to blow shit up and take no prisoners when it came to decimating an enemy army of many.

  • Great to see this. I remember playing it as a kid and i NEVER got past the second round. I can't believe how often i've heard "You have sustained lethal injury... sorry, but you are finished herrrrrrre.".

  • Nice big sprites, graphics are close to the arcade version but with less colours.Gameplay dosnt look as smooth but its a good conversion.

  • Both the Amiga and C64 version were harder to play than the Arcade version. The arcade version I can finish with 1 credit, but not this version.
