Another good thing about cgc is it tells you if the book is restored or not. If a book is restored it can turn a 300 dollar book to a 100 dollar book.

@74Paxxx Not really, to tell you the truth. A high grade Spawn 1 is good enough and only sells for about $25, if there is an interest. CGCing your book might boost the value to $50 but if you try to sell it on Ebay, many people might shy away from the added $25 to ship the CGC`d book. I hope this helps. I have a Spawn 1 myself and was incredibly proud of it when I bought it back in the 90s. Unfortunately, with the convoluted storylines lately, a lot of people got turned off of Spawn....
@inarticulate Sure! If it`s a real Action Comics 1, it`ll be worth something in any condition. And if it`s signed by Stan Lee, it`ll be worth something in any condition. I don`t know how the combination works out since Stan is the Marvel guy and Action Comics is DC, but yeah, if you have proof that he signed it, then you could probably have it appraised somewhere. Talk to your local comic shop first. Bring it in after (if you bring it in first, you might get ripped off). Cheers!
If I was you, I'd sell that Spawn book ASAP and if you get $900 plus, take that money and buy an ungraded high grade copy of Giants Size X-men 1 and an Uncanny X-men 94. Or an ASM #129 and Detective Comics #359. Or a high grade copy of Hulk 181. Those books will be far more money than that Spawn book.

I also have a Wizard Ace copy of Uncanny X-Men 94 signed by Frank Quitely and Chris Claremont and am in the middle of buying a Detective Comics 359! Way ahead of you dude! Cheers.
Ive got three CGC graded books myself. Godzilla 1(marvel) 9.4, Miracleman 6, 9.6 and the atom 19,double cover 7.5. I'm extremely happy with the service.
