How many days have you spent growing food and giving it away? Try that. Lets see you succeed at it first. You don't just get crops growing in the wild. You have to farm them (thus the name 'farming'). Without cultivation, and the labor involved, you would end up with 1-2 pounds of digestable food per acre instead of hundreds or thousands.

How many days have you spent growing food and giving it away? Try that. Lets see you succeed at it first. You don't just get crops growing in the wild. You have to farm them (thus the name 'farming'). Without cultivation, and the labor involved, you would end up with 1-2 pounds of digestable food per acre instead of hundreds or thousands.

And about building modular solutions. For simplicity sake, say for LCD, there are two parts, the electronics, and the screen itself. say the electronics are way more advanced than the LCD right now. So instead of buying the entire LCD screen, you just need to buy the new screen as technology develops. People usually aren't willing to shell out lots of money up front so they can upgrade. And upgrade requires manual labour and cost a lot more...
