  • i watch all your videos and to be to be honest this is the most educating, eye opening videos i ever saw when it comes to boxing comments.i enjoyed watching your videos b'coz u see things in diffrent views not as a fan but as an expert in boxing.when ur in the ring as a boxer u saw things diffrently than as a fan.believe me i know what i am saying b'coz i'm a muay thai boxer during my younger days.i hope u can be a boxing bcommentator someday and i will be ur no.1 fan no.

  • keep posting man,we will wait for ur next video

  • Yes, one of Cotto's vulnerabilities is that he constantly leaves his left hand down both when he's in offensive (for a body punch) and defensive positions and Pacquiao took advantage of that. However, I think the key to the fight was Cotto's psychological inability to calm down and step out when being hit hard, which would seem strange since, when he's in control, Cotto comes across as a VERY smart fighter. However he has problems with that since the 1st time I saw him in trouble (vs. Corley).

  • Cotto never moved his feet when Manny attacked. He just covered up. Manny was able to move in at angles when he realized Cotto wasn't gonna create counters by moving to the side(i.e. JMM). What will be interesting is if Floyd covers up like he did with Castillo or moves like he did with JMM.

  • YAH why everybody is like bullshit .. haha 1st dont listen to SR .. FLOYD .. he is a kind of a bullshit now everybody in the world boxing is so bullshit what u dont believe in manny now wait till manny win on FLOYD and interview him ... and no STEROIDS or so on and son on ...

  • It proves that Bob Arum is right Mayweather will not fight anybody who can beat him.

  • mayweather vs oscar no blood tested, mayweather vs hatton no blood tested, mayweather vs jmm no blood tested no steroids, now more steroids more blood test this is mind games man!!!

  • After ODH, he never challenge himself but chose a smaller guys like hatton, marquez and soon he'll be squaring off with a much smaller pacquiao.. All he would do is forced these guys to be at his own weight.. he is too spoiled to tolerate and I cant take it..

  • Mayweather will never, ever be the greatest boxer of all time.. He scared of fighting someone like his own size..

  • Mayweather is too spoiled!!

  • Hey man u r good observer!!! u should b a coach, teacher or commentator, people like u, r good at improving skills in anything. u remind me of my dad, my dad wood watch people do things den he would try do it as good r better r if he cant he would exam it over and over. very inteligent!! and u r very smart. jus by d way u c things

  • combo: Thank you so much for the kind words. I truly enjoy breaking things down to the lowest levels. There is still a universe of things to learn but I love recognizing true skill, especially in Boxing. There's a lot going on behind a connected punch. I have some other vids posted. Check them out if you have some time and let me know what you think! Thanks!!

  • A very educated analysis! Keep it up Bro.!!

  • Great analysis. bro keep it up

  • Great job brother! i just hope Mayweateher vs Pacquiao does happen early next year

  • very entertaining video bro ! keep up the good work. you should replace some of the commentators out there that does not know about boxing . you are way better than them !

  • pacman was good in geometry when young ..

  • you have the making of being professional boxing analyst... very good..cotto and other boxers can learn from your analysis..The way you describe pacman is pacman is unconventional calculate, fast, power ,skilled boxer , who knows his mathematics in the ring...

  • nice 1,,,,

  • par excellence on your analysis, keep up the good work, by far you are one of the best ......

  • Dude youre the best so far! Great job

  • youre really good observer...youre already on my favourites...

  • larry said it best. when manny throws a combonation at cotto miguel would be trying to get set to hit pacman back and forget that manny was still throwing extra punches thats when he got hurt the most

cotto was ready for flurry shots 1, 2, 3, and maybe even 4 but he was wide open for shots 5,6,7, and 8

  • very well said..

  • very good post fight analysis bro! keep up the good work.

  • Nice analysis, though you may be missing several points on the match. Still you're able to see what a lot of people didn't notice.

These are what Freddy thrives on, his eye for detail and capitalize on strategy based from these vulnerabilities.

Kudo's to you Mr. Dela Paz

  • i too did notice many traits of manny that you mentioned. like the 45 degree angles.

did you happen to notice manny fakes punches alot too in order for opponents to guard up thinking that a punch is gonna come but doesn't and while bringing their guard down, manny's fist comes through.

i've seen alot of asian fighters fight like this.

  • yes yanina143, these fake punches are called 'feints'. Since manny is so explosive, his opponents can't tell when he is actually going to punch. his footspeed is underestimated.

  • nice

  • You are a really good boxing analyst

  • great talk. thank you. looking forward to new ones.

  • Your video is Amazing nice analysis

  • nice pare... right in the point man... ur good..:-)

  • Rodney, are you a professional boxer too? You can be a good trainor too bro,

  • No, I'm just a guy who has an eye for strategy, tactics, technique, and mechanics. I'm hoping my videos will allow me to lose some weight, lol. Thanks for the supporting comments!!

  • Hey dela Paz what nationality are you?

  • Unbiasly Pilipino ;-)

  • Hi, Rodney! I commended you with your Prediction. Now I believe that you have a lot of knowledge in Boxing... Its fun to watch your video since im a fight fan myself. once again, Thanks a Million..

  • 5 stars for you, brother.. Thanks for making this post-fight analysis.. Well done..Congratulation, pare.. I'm sure a lot of people are now looking forward for your next video about the Pac- PBF..

  • great knowlege bro.

what did you think of that rope-a-dope that made cotto abandon his jab?

  • The rope-a-dope was a "big time" move that you typically see heavyweights do to allow the opponent to punch himself out. It was unbelievable to see, but you know, Manny is a "big time" fighter. But, I believe the move that made Cotto abandon his jab was Manny's right slip straight left. That move sent the message that Cotto's jab was meaningless. That's why Cotto began to retreat from the middle of the 6th round until the stoppage.

  • great knowledge bro.

what did you think of that rope-a-dope that made cotto abandon his jab?

  • I second that, what is your comment on that? lol @tinolangmanok name. Did you create that name just for the May 2010 fight?

  • i agree with drbringit on that too.

the name? just can't wait for next year thats all.

  • nvm answered already, sry!

  • Rodney, I like the way you analyze. You have a good vision in the sport of boxing. You can be a good boxing commentator. I saw your pevious videos. Pls analyze what will happen to Pacquiao and Mayweather fight if it will happen. Proud of you bro. 5 stars.

  • Pacquiao is now considered to be one of the greatest of all time. I saw couple of Pacquiao's interview and he regards Cotto to be a tough fighter. In my opinion Cotto can still have a good fight after he rest his body for a while. For Pacquiao, he must fight Mayweather because they are equally capable of defeating one another. It will be a phenominal fight.

  • very good analysis

  • one of the few really insightful review. great job!

  • awesome

  • very good insight! 5 stars for u! ;)

  • Great job bro.

  • good job. drbringit.

pacquiao is very underrated body puncher. re-watch the delahoya and hatton fight he threw some very good body shots.
