Please help me, Iv'e been trying to hook my ps3 back up to my internet for more than 3 weeks now, as I took it to my borthers, and too hook it up to my wireless, I need a WEP Key? What is it?:S Someone please help me, I'm getting so stressed out :/

My problem is I'm confused, the wep key shown to me was like 5 dots, I can't even see what the word is. Then there's like a 64 bits something above writing should have 10 hex digits but when I look below only 5 dots were shown, not 10, I'm just confused...

@LocoRocoLoveKatamari Looks like your password is hidden or encrypted in a way it's not shown. Google your problem, or you're using a modem or router that's not recognized by me, or you have a problem that I don't know about. Google it, it's your best bet.

I'll make this quick and simple

The WEP key is normally located under your router. If you're using a 2wire router, it's a 10 digit code in brackets sort of like [4710287353]. Other modems should be similar. If that doesn't work, then contact your local GEEK squad and ask them.

@FieldY616 Pretty much. If it doesn't work, look under your router. It's the 10 digit one. If it doesn't work, try the other one. 16 digits I think.

... You don't put your account and password, you put in the info you set into your router. And no, it's not your IP address, it's your master IP address.

The ten digit one is the WPA key I think. But it can pass as the WEP. The one with more digits is the WEP key. I don't exactly remember how many, but it's around 16.

Try hooking it up, and just press okay, don't even put in a WEP key, just set a random one, and put the error code into google, like

"Nintendo error code xxxxx" or put it in the Nintendo website.
