was about 550, you could get a much better non-high speed camera for the same money, although as a digital stills camera its not bad at all. if you really want the high speed then its lots of fun. the results aren't completely amazing, especially if you are cutting it together with DV or something, and particularly poor in lower light. having said all that, we have used it a lot and have experimented a great deal. its a good excuse to hit someone in the face with a cake and film it
