  • This is So Good!!!

  • Don Nix, Great!!

  • When I was a classic rock DJ in Northern Oklahoma, I played the living H outta this one. Jeff Beck was, is, and always will be one of the most amazing guitarists to ever roam the planet.

  • BASS PLAYER HAS MOTHERFUCKEN VICIOUS TONE

PROTOTYPE ROCK AND ROLL FREIGHT TRAIN BASS LINE

  • kickcopper10- I had this album back in the day and played it over and over . Loved it. Still great today. Beck is on top as a guitarist.

  • Best quadraphonic recording ever made.

  • Yea, some of most Bad Ass Fuck'n shit that you'll never be jamming down, that's all that counts, get out there and what you can and do what you do the way you do it, and let the chips lie where they lay...Directoreo

  • SOUNDS LIKE FUCK'N SHIT.

  • I'm infected with deadly BECKteria - it rots your blood with fuzz, phase, and

wah-wah, when you COULD be playing clean.

  • Still living, still playing, and still innovating! Long live Jeff Beck!

  • absolutely great.....

  • We'll done!......The "Original".

  • This is currently the theme song to "Eastbound and Down" On HBO

  • @fucdemas

It's Freddie King's version used for Eastbound and Down.

  • he is great. other album is blow by blow, another good one too!

  • jeff beck, cozy powell the best guitarist n drummer!!! R.I.P COZY.

  • I recorded "Going Down" in 1973

  • 'SEEN THESE DUDES at Carnegie Hall-N.Y.C. Yes known for its concert acoustics, THIS Band was Totally ON /LIVE: IT should have been recorded .ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING SHOWS TO THIS DAY....

  • @DYNODRUM what year was that?Did they do Going down??

  • HEY,well I would say around 72-73 ? If remembering correctly:Yes,they played Goin Down and all the ROUGH&READY,record Plus; The Orange Jeff BECK Group album....

  • We called this "The Orange Album" in High School. Jeff is altimately the Greastest guitar player that ever lived!

  • you are right

  • I see very few people are aware of this work. I had this album back in high school when it came out. The thing that impressed me the most then, aside from Jeff himself, was Max Middleton's ability to tickle the ivories with short sausagelike fingers.

  • ultimate Jeff Beck!!!!!

  • Great to hear this again "62studebacker". Err umm given Jeff's well known love of cars, err you wouldn't be Mr Beck himself by any chance?

  • Herself ... my first car was a Studebaker - I think the orange is in reference to the movie Clockwork Orange. Either Beck being pictured center with the orange is relating to the main character in the movie, or it was a publicity stunt to promote his record. Any guesses?

  • Maybe we'll never know! By the way his new CD 'Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scott's', is fantastic. He gets more out of each single note than I can get out of a hundred!

  • I thought the orange was relative to a preceding album, BECKOLA. That record had a picture of an Apple, a Rene Magritte painting. Maybe he likes fruit?? Also the last time I saw him driving down the street, about 5 years ago, he was driving a candy apple red '32 Ford 5 window coupe/hot rod.

  • What's the orange about?

  • Is that Graham Bond in the second set of photos :)

  • No, Max Middleton the superb pianist!

  • The best...ever...

  • Great tune. Beck on top of his game.
