  • What did she say in the end??? i didn't understand...

  • If Cristina had known it was Henry bet all my money that Henry would've been alive, why? because it was someone she knew and it was the husband of someone she care.

  • The only one to blame here is Teddy. As Cristina's mentor she really doesn't know Cristina as a doctor all that well. Cristina works best when she know who the patients is and when she can relate to the patient. If Cristina has no emotional attachment to the patient she wont do her best work, she wont got the extra mile because she doesnt see the person as a human being. Teddy's idea of hiding from Cristina that was going to operate on Henry was the mistake.

  • @kpana8114 not true. how could she do it to her? Cristina probably wouldn't even agree. And that wasn't even such serious thing, no one thought he would die. And completely not true that Cristina works worse and cares less if she doesn't know the patient. she's changed. she's a better surgeon now, she's not a machine anymore and that's because of Teddy. so she does know her very good. don't you remember Cristina's trauma after Derek almost died? No one would put her through this again.

  • Hunt and Teddy would be the perfect couple because they're both boooooring and deserve each other.

  • I put all the blame on Arizona Robbins and Callie Torres. Their lack of sex made Callie get interested in JLo. That distraction caused that Avery put the screws in the wrong place; that was the reason why Teddy was occupied; that provoked that Owen had to lie to Cristina irreparably, and that is why I think that

Owen and Cristina will split up soon. (and, well, I want Owen to be with Teddy!!!!!)

  • @Arkangelord UUUGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! According to Kevin McKidd's tweets that's not going to happen!

  • @Arkangelord AH AH . I'm on board w you, Arizona Robbins and Callie Torres are the ones to blame in all this mess. ;)

  • 2) I think this discussion would not have been even posed, if the doctor in question was not Cristina. Do you see another resident to turn their backs to the chief and say: "no, no I will not operate because I don't feel like. I'm tired"? If It was Teddy doing that, everyone would be saying: unprofessional, unprofessional... To achieve the the deed of becoming a cardiogod, Cris has to mentalize that she can not only eat sirloin steak, she also has to chew the bones.

  • @9400lilly totally agree. they all did their best, Owen too. In the hospital he's not a friend of Teddy or Cristina's husband. he's mostly the chief and he's responsible for patients' lives! so what was he supposed to do? tell her and let the woman on the table die? Although I think he could have told Teddy that Cristina cannot operate with her cause of an important operation or something, that way Cristina and Teddy would understand after all. I feel they'll get very close in the next episodes.

  • 1) I think many here are forgeting a major principle. Inside the hosp. Cris and Owen are not husband and wife. They are co-workers and Owen is the chief. Their atittude as to be irepreensible in the professional field. Inside that place they are Dr. Hunt and Dr.Yang. Owen doesn't have the obligation to favor her.

  • @9400lilly Any doctor in that situation should have been asked whether or not they could handle it, whether it was his wife or not. He knew enough not to send April in the OR and she was no where near Henry. However, when Cristina, the one who actually operated on Henry, said that she was not able to handle it, he forced her to go. First he lied to her and then forced her to go into a situation where she had to keep up a lie, while operating. That's not professional or ethical.

  • This isn't about Owen, Cristina, or her stupid abortion. It's about Teddy, and the fact that they both hid the truth from her is wrong on so many levels. I mean Henry was her husband for god sakes. I understand Owen wanted to save the patient, but that was a huge mistake. I don't know if Teddy is going to forgive either of them, and if she does it's going to be a long time.

  • @passionkiss91 But it was also Teddys idea to hide the identity of Henry and let Cristina operate. That was mean too.

  • @passionkiss91 I agree, Owen and Cris are far away from the abortion conversation and in this case it's really about Teddy. I'm not sure if she will care about who and when told her about Henry's death..

  • My thing is this I feel that Owen gets attacked no matter what he does. He is a good person its not easy being the boss had it been webber who told cristina to go in that OR people would have found a way to blame Owen anyway so its a no end situation. I feel bad for teddy I really do but I am having a hard time feeling anything but anger for Cristina right now I am so sorry but it is what it is I just hope things work out

  • why is it always cristina who is defended? Ok, it was wrong they did not tell her. but she has her flaws too. And I think Owen made already the biggest sacrifice of all and held her hand during the abortion!

  • Dude FUCK OWEN MAN!!!!! They always make Christina have so much drama with her :\

  • Cristina is a surgeon, that was her job. Owen did what he had to do to save the patient's life..He is the Chief of Surgery and bears a lot of responsability..It wasn't like he had to choose. That patient needed to be saved and in situations like this you have to know to separate your personal life from your professional.. Teddy asked Owen to hide the truth from Cristina, not the other way around. What she did to Cristina, happened to her as well.

  • @Ludo1518 right. owen has a lot of responsibility. though i think he should have send someone else into surgery and not his wife. but it was necessary to hide the truth from teddy since she was operating. I noticed many people really dislike owen and i dont get it. he is not a bad guy. no matter what cristina does its always ok for many people. i like cristina but sometimes it really shocks me how selfish she is.

  • @italoluder He had suggested all other options to Teddy, all were refused, there was no other choice but to send Cristina. Even if she is his wife, she is a surgeon and that is her job. That they should have told Cristina the truth, yes they should, but it was Teddy's idea. As for Owen, you're very right, he is blamed each time, because this is a feminist show and male characters don't have the right to have an opinion, let alone say it or make any mistakes.

  • @Ludo1518 how true. they dont have any rights at all.......I'd love me a hubby like Owen and I feel sorry for him because they blame him all the time. he has suffered also in many ways. but its always about her.even if many here dont wanna hear it: I am not really a fan of hers right now. he was good enough to be at her side when she had her trauma and now she is complaining and accusing him all the time. well then leave him for gods sake if your career is more important.just my opinion.

  • @Ludo1518 Cristina's emotional state mattered as well, it could have caused just as much damage as Teddy's. Owen told April not to go into the OR after just hearing about Henry's death. He lied to Cristina about who she was operating on, made her work with the wife, after she begged not to and then gets mad at her for telling the truth to Teddy. He's an ass. In this type of situation you ask the person if they can handle it, not force them to do it. Wife or not, its human decency.

  • @eporter84 We can have this conversation all day. You will have your opinion and I will have mine. When you are surgeon/doctor in general, you put your feelings aside and do your job. Cos that's why you took that oath. No one says it is easy, but you have to do it. I didn't see Owen dragging Cristina in the OR. And also Teddy asked Owen to hide the truth from Cristina.. If saving a patient's life means being an ass then so be it. But he made the right choice.

  • @Ludo1518 Personal feelings should play a part. The fact that they had to lie to her about Henry shows how unethical it was. If you have to lie to a surgeon to get them to operate, they are too close to the situation and should not be involved. It doesn't matter if Teddy asked him to, he is the Chief and it was his decision. There were a number of different options he could have taken to avoid this situation and he didn't. He did order her to go and she has every right to be mad.

  • Well, Cristina took the words right out of Owen's mouth. I would bet that as much as she hated being in that OR and lying and etc., I am sure that is how Owen felt during the abortion.

  • @caseycscooby That's not the same. Owen told her honestly that he wants the baby but he made the choice to respect Cristina's decision in getting the abortion. Cristina was lied to by everyone in the OR that Henry was on the table, and after carrying the responsibility of his death Owen forced her to assist Teddy in her surgery; cornering her into a place where she had to go along with Teddy's "woo~" requests etc. because she can't just break the news with them operating on another patient.

  • @caseycscooby The price you pay when you marry in haste and don't know the important things about your partner. Now they are BOTH paying for it

Loved this couple in S5 but 3 years on the lust has faded and they truly don't belong together. Yes commitment takes work but they are imo joyless together and more interesting as characters when they are apart from each other. They at to split, if they find their way back together so be it, but right now they are both toxic for each other

  • @caseycscooby SOOOOOOOOO well said! BRAVO. you took the words from MY mouth now. Its time they talk about it. I think it was wrong to have the abortion. So wrong. but hey: If she is happier without kids. But I dont have to like her decision.

  • @caseycscooby Very well pointed. I agree with the parallel. Now I'm assuming that the writers will start from there to start the final confrontation between these two. THE TALK.
