Could be Weimarana mix but hes not 100% Weim. They dont have white feet and his coat is a bit long. His eyes arent really blue enough either. The fact that he's hyper though could mean hes got Weim in him. Mad dogs!

HE'S MONTHS OLD??? Well idk then cause I have a chocolate lab/ weimaraner mix or "weimador" but she is HUGE and is about the same age (30lbs or so). People usually know they are selling this "hybrid" puppy cause they are not cheap. "Bella" was $400 bucks which I though was CRAZY for a mix-breed dog but my fiance fell in love with her. She is very hyper and like to chew everything in sight as well but she's alot of fun.

It's a silver lab. It's acceptable for labs to have some white on them, even says so in the breed standard. But here's the thing: How much did you pay for that dog? You would NEVER find one in a shelter or rescue, so that means you bought it from a breeder - and paid a SHITLOAD for it, in all likelihood - without believing it was the breed they said? I hope you have a hunting accident that ends with YOU being shot, you moron. You don't deserve this dog.

it is not unusual for a "Silver" Colored Lab to have white markings on the their feet, chest and tail area. And Silver labs are found to have been around from the around the 1920's on

I'm no expert so take this with a grain of salt; according to the AKC a lab should have a solid coat with the possible exception of a small white spot on the chest - no mention of paws - as such it could be assumed that your dog is a cross, which you have obviously already figured out.

It seems like people are on the right track with Weimaraner though.

he could very well be full lab. more likely he is crossed with a weimaraner. these crosses are most ofter called labaraners. they can come in an array of colors. my labaraner is black. when i meet other dog people they immediately see the lab, but they also know he is crossed. they are never sure with what. when i tell them weimaraner, they immediately see it. his head and eyes have a distinct weimaraner appearance and he is taller and more aerodynamic than labs. he loves EVERYONE.

@FROGGY3356 sorry there aren't; these are all throwbacks from a weimaraner/lab cross that were illegally registered as chocolates in the USA years ago. These 'silver' dogs usually always have a typical Weimaraner whip like tail rather than a labs otter like tail. Cute though but from a small gene pool so I wouldn't breed from them with another 'silver' as problems will happen eventually because of the recessive genes they have inherited due to the tiny gene pool.

This is not a Silver Lab. It could be a weim mix though. Silvers have bright baby blue eyes, and when there adults they turn a ghostly pale green. And it is not natural for a lab to have so much white, only on the chest on pads, so again, i'm going with a wiem mix. A video pf a true Silver -

I know you can get silver labradors but its very rare. But some dogs like my dog have white patches. its just a marking you can get them and its not TOO common. There called Bolo's. HES IS A GORGEUS DOGGIEE!

AKC recognizes white patching on the chest and feet as acceptable for Labrador retrievers. Silver is also considered an acceptable coloring, but is registered as Chocolate, since its considered to be a dilute version of the chocolate gene.

I have a silver lab, and her face looked quite similar to your dog when she was young, but she never had any patching.

the only way to be sure its a purebred Labrador, is if it is papered as such, otherwise you take your chances.

The face is Lab, the markings can turn up, so not ideal for breeding. Hyper--my puppies have been turbo charged, and then they collapse and sleep with no warning. Stop the biting now! You don't want the puppy doing anything you can't live with when he's grown.

English strain are smaller, I think less than 60 pounds as adult. And really-- who cares what breed he is when you love him? (I can hear that in your voice.)

Ok, there is a lot of controversy regarding Silver Labradors, to all of the people out there who do not believe this is a silver lab, it maybe and it may not be but the major thing is that the AKC advises that labradors CAN have a white spot on their chest and their paws it is not desirable but is 100% full bred. Also the AKC has completed extensive DNA testing to prove that these dogs are full blooded. DNA is 99% accurate you cannot argue with that

@mrossomx2 Unfortunatly when it comes to dogs, they are all part of the same species, and when breeds are similar it can be very difficult to tell them apart, DNA isn't as simple as CSI makes it seem un fortunatley :)

We have a silver lab, his name is Bear, I don't know whether he's a full blooded lab or Weimaraner X, but his sleek shape and mannerisms are very very close to that of weimaraners. In short - I don't care one way or another our dog is beautiful.

Here is my advice to you, go to the library or something, or like get a book on like a dog that looks like yours. Then you can figure out what his breed is. Did your dog die? If did, too sad and what year?

Silver labs do not exist. white markings, or mismaks, are extremely rare in labs and only offer in small amounts. Breeders will add Weimer blood to make dogs silver. Sorry, your dog is not a lab.
