Skeleton Dogs are exactally what they sound like. Skeletal dogs. You can find them on Pumpkin Hill. (I think, it's been a while).

Unlike the other animals you'll find in this game, which endow the chao they are given to with one of their characteristics (AKA: Give a bunny and get bunny feet), Skeleton Dogs do just the opposite, actually removing a characteristic from the chao it's given to, instead of adding one.

-Knuckles Chao

-Tails Chao

-Omochao

There is also sonic chao via giving them loads of run chaos drives, shadow chao by doing the same except make him a devil and the nights chao by getting their fly up. The game never refers to it as that but it's a pritty obvious hint that they are.
