  • Great cover...in fact, I like this over the Dexter Wansel version..

I give props to the UK for your actors, pop-rock-r&b acts, but for the life of me, why you can't you get rap right? Other than that, I love this freakin' song, it's hypnotic....cheerio

  • Yes indeed! it belongs in the archive of Great Albums.com. Awesome Album, and i purchased it more than twice, Loose Ends gave me that feeling of reaching out and saying what i felt in my heart. Love is in Music and it's all around us if we pay attention and to me everything is tryng to show man the love it has for us. Even the wind, speaks from time to time, especially when it's happy with you. Nature is very much alive. Thanks for the post and i am happy. PEACE and More LOVE

  • i remember being in a meeting with our manager tony hall thrashing ideas for the 2nd album and i said i wanna cover david bowie's golden years, and the room smiled in agreeance then jane gave me this real snide bitch look ,and said,.. well... i wanna cover the sweetest pain i thought RIGHT BRING IT ON JANE, we'll see which one comes out better lol i guess that was the begining of our rivalry in the band, hers became a classic, but mine flopped hugely in the charts

  • @carlywow Great stuff! Thanks for sharing that! I still play Zagora

  • I prefer this to the original version

  • PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE IN THE INDUSTRY BRING THEIR STUFF BACK OUT WITHOUT TWECKING IT TOO MUCH IT WILL MAKE IT.

  • One of the best albums of the 80's. Still sounds great 25 years later

  • I wish and pray that this music makes a comeback. It's theraputic to the mind and body-makes me feel pretty. Just think about relaxing in a jacuzie with low lighting, not to mention with that other half!!!!!!!!!! I'm having a euphoria just thinking about it.

  • Loose Ends is great! There lyrics always seem to match how you're feeling. The music so smooth and relaxing! This type of music needs to make a comeback! Thanks Victornewman06 for putting this up!

  • i love this group they don't make music like this anymore this make me miss the summers in the early 90's damn i remember my first boyfriend that was good times.

  • Love this one and the whole damned album. I remember hearing this on WHUR- Washington and going to the record store, " sorry dude that's an import and we aint got it" I waited and waited- finally it arrived. You see we had no Ebay or Amazon in those days.

  • @lrich65184 Word! I had to rush to Douglass Records here in B-more (I believe the store started in DC) to get it. Still have it on vinyl. Certified masterpiece!!

  • THIS SONG ALWAYS MANAGES TO UNWIND A BRUTHA....

    ESSENTIAL, CLASSIC MUSIC.

THEY DONT MAKE SHIT LIKE THIS NO MORE :-(

  • This pure sound always makes me shiver. Love LOOSE ENDS

  • this is such a pretty song. Didn't hear this one played often.

  • love this song, loose ends and everything they made. they are a group i would like to see on the BET Awards for a oldie but goodie like they did with EL DeBarge. Now this name victornewman06. Is this from Victor Newman of Y & R cause you know Victor is darkness.

  • sexy.....smooth.....

  • I prefer this version to the Dexter's one, it's very spiritual... Especially when you smoke one it makes you fly so high above!

  • @alabinette IM IN SHOCKKKKKKKKK ..THAT ITS NOT ORIGINALLY LOOSE ENDS. U LEANR SUMN NEW EVERYDAY...WOW

  • LOOSE ENDS HAS THE SOOTHEST OF SOUNDS.

  • one of the best collection songs put together ever from UK's loose ends

  • Awesome album, PERIOD

  • I wish I was somewhere up real close & personal w/ the one I'm loving

  • @Sweeteverydr0p So do.It sucks being alone all the time

  • Their sound is unique, and the fusion of genres captivated my heart. I have their cd, ' The Real Chuckeeboo' from 1988. I listen to it often, and loud!

  • yeah man

  • Great song...

  • Loose Ends is one of my favorite groups, their music touches my soul!

  • "Zagora" is the best album they ever made. This is one of those albums that instantly takes me back to my active Air Force duty days. Back when I was stationed at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. I miss those days!

  • i have this cd but do you know how many times i had to buy this thing......it grew legs about 6 or 7 times.....all time classic cut and album right here

  • I love Dexter's version, but this one gets at me all the time.Miss the band.

  • damn good song to have sex to hands down ^^

  • Hello and God Bless. I want to thank victornewman06 for posting this song written by me and Cynthia Biggs. I think Jane, Carl, and Steve did a wonderful job. I was also honored with working with the group when they asked me to write the string arrangement for "For You Can't Stop The Rain", as well as other collaborations.

May your road be smooth and easy.

    Dexter Wansel

  • great song.....

    sexy..... its downright erotic....

    5stars upload...

  • What I really love is when the young generation comes on here and say how much they like this music. Glad you guys appreciate what many of us here grew up on. I went thru relationships listening to Loose Ends music in my mid to late teens..lol.. Loose Ends was at the top of their game with this album. The U.K is full of soul from both black and white artists. If any of you ever get the chance to visit London or Birmingham and check the live music scene, you will see for yourself. Its sick !!!

  • @Skyjuice70 .Your comments prove to show that you are a true soul lover and represent UK soul, which many think is not there but present.

Loose ends put UK soul on the international map....one of their slow numbers that i love..thanks victornewman for posting this song

  • definitely, rhythms such as this touch the heart and soul

  • The UK understands REAL SOUL MUSIC. THEY GET IT. They have some of the realist music out back then and now. LOVE LOOSE ENDS!

  • original by dexter wansel check it out also sampled by global communication(the way)..check em out

  • From the first note on this tune, U knew it was going to be GREAT. And it still is. And I was always in love with Jane's fine chocolate ass!

  • Best album they ever did.

  • @StarX81...Well, i would definitely say Look How Long would give them a run, if you count the next members w/june,and nick??

  • SEXY Song!!!!

  • agree

    great album

    beautiful melodies

instruments all right on in the mix

beautiful. they were one of the few uk soul bands where the americans had to sit up and REALLY take notice.

  • Sweet, soulful, song. Great post victornewman06.

  • I remember playing this album about 14/15 yrs ago on my dad turn table as a kid......memories.

  • This my sh**

Such a smooth and sexy song. Only those of us born pre-1980 can truly appreciate this jam :-)

  • I agree with you, this is a very sexy song.....especially when Jane starts speaking french!!! The flute is a really nice touch!! Loose Ends will ALWAYS be the sh*#!!

  • Oh yeah, I luv when Jane speaks french in this song.

  • One of the best R&B albums of the 80's!

  • You right about that.

  • This is some summernight ridin' music...Sounds so good with a good sound system. Bump this!!!

  • Reminds me of the summer of 86(?), kickin it with my girl, living at home(no worries). This should be considered a classic album. Even tho some of us know and love their music, In my opinion, Loose Ends was slept on tremendously. Glad I didn't!!!

  • i agree, one of the best albums of the decade. so many great songs, uptempo, mellow, slow jams, etc. great vocals and music. definitely LOOSE ENDS at their best!!!

  • Love this song & everything that they made & record till this very day.I would like 2 know what they R doing N these days.Have'nt heard from them N a good while..Hey VICTORNEWMAN06 thanks 4 keeping them running on utube....

  • Thanks for listening, check out some of my other posts. Take care :)

  • This bring me back good memories When I was 4 years old. Music is dying in this generation

  • the flute solo is crazy hot. just compliments Jane's voice so nicely.

  • omg i thought there wanst anyone out there better than loose ends love them thanks so much

  • I loved the original and I love this also. I've got a few Loose Ends albums and a greatest hits CD. I so loved them back in the day. They don't make tunes like this anymore. Thanks for posting!

  • one word.... quality.....

  • i was 17 when this came out life was good 80s rules

  • were was i

  • hey all you old schoolers, stop feelin' so down, in 2008 new allbum from incognito keeping up the brit trad...its SUPERB, one of some great albums this year (Kloud 9, sunburst band, reel people, angela johnson) for starters, I think we are on the cusp of a quality comeback. fingers crossed

  • music...memories of the greatest..awl..this era!

  • MY UNCLE IS STEVE NICHOL :D :D

  • I used to live by your Uncle Steve in Peckham, he hated being called by his middle name 'Orlando' and would play his trumpet early on a Sunday morning in his garden to anoy us. Now I live and D.J in Amsterdam and I still play tracks by Loose Ends. A big thumbs up to ya uncle, Jane & Macca.

  • what is your uncle up to these days, this was one of my favorite groups I still rock there cd's to this day timeless.

  • I hope to one night hear a voice like hers saying "I love you" over and over again.

  • There was a post of the original version of this song by Dexter Wanzel but it looks like the post is gone.

  • Yeah, I might put it back up. I think gwizlouisville had it up before.

  • beautiful, one of the unique ones.

  • Just does not get any better than this. Is it me or has anybody else noticed that todays artist don't consist of male and female singers in one group anymore like the bands of the 70's and 80's, this song is as fresh now as it was when I first heard it in the 80's. I don't see how todays garbage is selling compared to music 20+ years ago. Those old school artist must be saying to themselves,(Damn what went wrong) also check out So Much Love another great song by this great group.

  • @ronpc There are millions of people around the world that realise that most music today is poor compared to yesteryear but whilst the big corps go unregulated, creative artists get ignored or become enslaved to the whims of commerciality. Todays world has all turned out like a bad dream as in Back to the Future 2 as far as I'm concerned and something needs to change. If anything though, the oldies just keep sounding better and better every day so there is some positivity!

  • WOW...this song takes me back to my lady chasin days in college.

  • I owned the 2 folding LP and loves the art work shot out in the Desert. They had such style. "Nights of pleasure" is the kiler slow on the album though and "Rainbow in the sky/take the train" loved that big band sound too

  • ooo this is what soul music is all about!! Truly awesome, this realy is & the highlight of the 'So Where Are You?' lp but I like this remixed version so thanks for the post! Jane sounds soooo good! From what I can rememember Dexter had something to the arrangement of their version too & it's so nice to hear those Sigma-sound singers in the background too - Barbara Ingram, Carla Benson & Evette Benton. I love their voices & harmonies!

  • Victor you're the man! Thanks for posting :-)

  • this is the real true r&b sound still fresh today so smoothing & affectionate thats my ticket believe the hype

  • One of the best songs of all time in my opinion. I just love the French bit towards the end.

Now all I need now is to find the (longer) album version of "Fantasy Real" by Galaxy

  • This is my all time favorite album bar none!!!

My best friend gave me the cd in 1987 and I have bought it a dozen times over. I cant believe its been 21 years! They need to come back for another record!

  • ...I Just Found Out That Loose Ends Reunited In "1998" for Pete Rock's "Take Your Time"...This Song Is Here On YouTube And It's HOT...Now I Got To Get Out, Go Around Town And Find It...

  • Hmmmmmmmm... When The Part That Jane Sings "Feel So Good, Don't You Know That I Love You... Words Can't Explain...No Words Can Explain, Feel So Good...Sweet As Your Love, Words Can't Explain, No Words Can Explain, No...No...No...No...Feel So Good, Oh How I Love You...How I Love You... Words Can't Explain...Still Sends Chills Through Me...MISS U LOOSE ENDS...AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE U...!!!

  • Yea, nice reminds me of BLS in New York. I would always catch that station traveling through NY. Nice

  • BLS is my all time favorite radio station.

  • My alltime favorite slow Jam!!!!!!

  • I've owned this CD for around 20 years. I love it!

  • My favorite group of all time....good lookin out!

  • i recognise this pic above, is it the album cover? I had it in 86. It was the bees knees

  • This is still the jam till this day..........

  • Did Dexter Wansel's original version(1979) justice...and I never say that about remakes...much love for loose ends.

  • Definitely

  • SOS 2 all yal.

Love the group 2. Got alot of their stuff on lp..

  • Cant find my CD so I''m bumpin this album in my cassette player in my whip. Clearly their most definitive work. I'm riding up PCH wit my shortie blazin on sumthin and sippin on sumthin- this is dedicated to the Ridas Thanks victornewman06

  • No problem. Be careful playa, it gets curvy as hell on PCH :)

  • i got nearly all of their music bar the last album before they split up. Still burning up the turntable with this.

  • Her voice is like velvet. I adore this song.

  • We need to tak our music back. When the industry changed the demographics and starting focusing on the youth machine and BET sold itself to Viacom things started to change. If we dont take it back to real vocals and real R&B then our music will remain diluted

  • I couldn't have said it better myself. That's square biz!!!!!

  • You're so right.. The majority of the music that is out now sounds like crap!!! I'm really, truly disapointed with R & B music today!!!

  • I will co-sign to that all day long!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Tony1TAKE We sure do need to take our music back Tony

  • @Tony1TAKE You have that right on the button, music changed a lot over the past 25 years, everything is rap rap rap rap rap! We need to go back and bring this music and have the youth of today listen to what we used to listen to back in 1985.

  • thanks...

  • I miss this group so much, that is the original members. Carl, Jane and Eugene. I would give anything to see them back together again. This has to be my all time favorite group.

  • This was the second release of Sweetest Pain. It was first released earlier in the UK. I had to import the album to the US.

  • i love this song.. even thought i wasnt around when it came out

  • Thank you .I was about 20yrs old getten money .When this came out living in the midwest .Loose ends was a very special group and one to cherish.Thank you for brinbing back great memories.Again thank you.I love youtube.Draybabby

  • A Real pearl:)Thanks for posting Victor;)

  • Smooooooooooooothe!.:)

  • OMG, this song is the bomb! It used to make me think of my girlfriend when I heard it. Now, 20 years later, me and my girlfriend / WIFE still listen to it. Thanks. I tied all my Loose Ends with a lovely wife and 4 beautiful children. This IS music.

  • It's almost to an extent, that people forgot that good music was out there, especially R&B/Soul music. It's up to people like you and I to educate these young kids not to be sheep and have radio, MTV, BET, etc., dictate to them what REAL MUSIC is (packaged up BS). They are really missing out and Zagora is an example of beautiful, sensual, soul music. Thanks for sharing that and be blessed :)

  • I agree 100%!

  • This song IS the bomb! So glad you are happy with your wife and kids, what a blessing is that. I STILL have this ALBUM! LOL LOL I need to go CD! LOL LOL
