  • im trying to find games from the net for my UFO since i mostly lost my copies =(

  • Any idea if there's a way to load anything larger than 1.6MB (floppy size)? perhaps using multiple floppies?

  • @bibinson when you backup a game that has larger than 1.6mb, it should ask for another floppy,

  • wtfffffffffffffff

  • do you know where i can get a floppy disc drive?? i own this but have no floppy disk drive on my pc usb one would be good and where do you get floppy disks these days?

  • I had one of these. Best time of my life

  • Curious about something, I finally replaced the floppy drive on my Super UFO as well. However, I can't get it to read whatever disks I formatted on my computer (Using the FAT16 option) and my computer can't read anything the Super UFO formats. Using Windows 7. Suggestions? Thanks :)

  • This unit used a normal, off-the-shelf floppy drive? IDE?

  • @logicerr yes, that is correct.

  • @thegoldenax Wow, that's interesting! Thanks for uploading this little bit of video game history.

  • I wish I know how to make videos for Youtube :(

I have the version 8 of this thing which loads faster & has some cool music taken... err, ripped off from James Pond :)

  • This brings back alot of memories when I borrowed this from a friend. Not only this showed me the early days of the black market of video gaming that no one knew about it also convinced me to get into Import gaming as well. Man just was before the invention of the Playstation Modchip. Still its the best of all if you can Import the Japanese console and buy the Japanese game to support the industry if you have the money.

  • I remember I bought a disk system and then brought it over to the US. My friends nearly shit their pants when they saw it. And the Coolest thing at that time was I could go rent a game and then copy it : )

  • i wish i had at least known these things existed back then. i would have been blown away.

  • I want one!!!!! That thing has got to be a Japanese import-- especially since it has Japanese writing on it, major tip-off. That thing is nice!!

  • I have one still in original box, but its called a super pro fighter q. Gave me years of free fun.

  • @nathanallan1 no is not japanese import and even not illegally. hong kong was the maker of this kind of attachment back in 92/93 i have one and it still working

  • @aldryosi252 Cool, thanks for replying! I want one, never seen anything like that ever. Well, there was this thing in Europe, I think it was a disk doctor for the N64, used zip disks. But this one is better, for the SNES.

  • @nathanallan1 That is not Japanese writing. Its in Chinese. You have the option of the disk drive copier to have it in either English or in Chinese and its not made in Japan. Its a pirating floppy disk drive you can find online that uses the old floppy disks before the invention of the hard drive. This was how I found out about this drive then later on came the modchip to take its place.
