There is a patch of wild strawberries that have sprung up in my yard. I'm sure they are strawberries, because I also grow Ozark Beauty strawberries, and everything looks right: leaves, flower, fruit. But I've tasted a couple, and they are completely tasteless and without sweetness.

Wild strawberries LOVE the sun. I have them all over my property and they grow mainly and strongest in the clearings in full sun.

I think wild strawberries are so cute. Every time I try to eat them, they are hard, and there is no juice, despite the deep red color and apparent ripeness. They are white inside. :( I didn't know I could eat the leaves and flowers though so that's great to know. I guess I pick the strawberries too soon, or maybe they just don't get juicy?
