Great tv show ( and movie ); I remember watching it on tv as a kid. I love seeing the women nurses in their khaki uniform - skirts !!! I love the scene at 0:17 where one of the lovely ladies comes down the ladder ! Plus the scenes just before when they come aboard; etc. A great story premise regarding " sexual chemistry " and intimacy in confined spaces. Thanks for posting; regards.
I used to like this one. (One of the few fans, I guess!) I loved the original movie, andliked the lesser of the nurses/crew romantic entanglements--the major and Tostin. I wish episodes were available.
based of course on the the movie with that great cast ..and the women oohboy what that did for the hormones of a 13 yr ...had such a crush on lt randall (she ends up marrying cary grant in the movie) must watch if you have not seen it..tony curtis great too
i was six, i remember it also. the ship was the tiger, that is about all i remember. that and a scene where a man found out his wife had a baby and hyperventillated.
Obviously have seen the movie many times, but have no recollection of this series whatsoever - thanks for posting the opening credits. John Astin must have been a hoot as Sherman...
The series was funny, but the movie was hilarious! All those 40's phobias being made fun of...man, couldn't do that today! Cary Grant was great in the theatrical release, Astin had a good flustered look to him...but Tony Curtis was EXCELLENT as a scrounger supply officer! Melinda Naud...I remember being so in lust with her all those years ago...Whatever happened to her?
Twenty-two TV episodes were done between 1977 and 1978: imdb./title/tt0076503/ and more completely: tv./operation-petticoat/show/3010/episode_listings.html?tag=subtabs;list
Interesting note: Tony Curtis performed in the movie version with Cary Grant, and his daughter - Jamie Lee Curtis played a nurse in the TV series with John Addams.
I just remember when the had to squeeze by each other - oh here comes a blonde (it gives the concept of space an entire new meaning).
