@nikitas007metal If you would've done a simple google search, you would've gotten your answer much faster than having to wait for a reply on this video. This game is for PS2 and Gamecube. The version I am playing is for Gamecube. If you really wanted you could play it on PC through emulation.

I had this game and i got really bored with it somewhere in the beginning. I really liked the first 3 but this one was just... fail.

@MagneticProductions1 Actually Sierra is a publisher, not a developer, and they had nothing to do with this game. I agree though, the devs did do a lousy job. They could've atleast gotten the colors right and add some transparency -.-

i expected more than spyro 3 but every game series has a flop of a game but a Hero's Tail i didn't find better THan Spyro 3

why did insominac sell spyro if they never he woud be a gaming legend

@TheNathanNS Insomniac sold Spyro because they felt there was nothing more they could do with him. I don't believe that was true, and they should have figured something out. Then again, they had to move on, and created another nice series: Ratchet and Clank. I pretty much do see Spyro as a gaming legend. Any spyro games after 3 I just don't include them in the original series.

@MasterJ37 I don't belive that Insomniac felt like they couldn't take Spyro further but if you look at Nintendo how long have they kept the Super Mario series 25 years surely Sony want to have a video game character to rival Mario and Spyro (who has been replaced by SONIC) could have been it but Insomniac ruined it all i can say

(When Nintendo released Super Mario 64 DS i thought it was like Spyro 3 150 stars to collect different characters to play as only certain characters can get stars etc)

@TheNathanNS In the words of Ted Price (Insomniac CEO): "we knew that there wasn't much we could do with that character. He didn't have hands so he couldn't hold a whole lot. We took him as far as we could without having him feel contrived." I don't see a need for anymore of a reason for them to drop Spyro, as unfortunate as it may be. Sony really doesn't have a say in what Insomniac does. If they wanna drop it, they drop it.

@TheNathanNS Sonic isn't even close to being related to Sony. Sonic is owned by Sonic Team, a division of Sega. Sonic is on multiple platforms too. I don't really see how Sonic would compete in sales with Mario if they're even on the same game. Mario isn't all Nintendo has either. Nintendo has a lot; They have Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and a bunch of original platformers. What Nintendo lacks is decent hardware. That's where M$ and Sony come in.

@TheNathanNS Sony and M$ are jealous of the Wii's Motion control, so what do they do? Sony gets the 6-Axis controller, and M$ comes up with the Kinnect. The rivalry of characters isn't around so much as the rivalry of the actual systems themselves is what I'm getting at. Look back a decade; consoles didn't have too many unique features, so they needed their mascots. Nowadays consoles themselves are unique. Did you know that Insomniac even has plans to release an Xbox 360 game?

ever since spyro left insomniac/Playstation i've not really liked the TLOS series i beat the dawn of the dragon (wii) in under 10 hours and a new beggining (Xbox)was to hard for me and i'm stuck on Eternal Night which is easier than a new begining (PS2)

@TheNathanNS Lol, guess what - I don't own a PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii, and I haven't played any Spyro games past Hero's Tail, which I don't even own. I don't plan on playing them anyway. I'm pure computer now =P. Mainly the x86_64 architecture. Emulation is good fun. I just read everything I typed, and I can't tell if it makes sense. Wow I'm off topic. Sorry, but it's 4:41 AM here =S I guess that's what happens.

@DarthKain0 Yeah I know, that's why I have Spyro 4 as my last one of the series. Insomniac nailed it with the first three. Them after, not so much. Spyro 4 had a good concept, but it's just way too buggy. I played a gameboy advance one, I think it's called Spyro: Season of Ice, which didn't seem too bad. But I mean what can you expect from a gameboy? It seemed a bit generic.

@DarthKain0 As far as TLOS, they should've just created a whole new series with different characters. All they did is use Spyro's partial fame to make a few more sales. Those don't follow anything from the storyline, and don't even have similar gameplay. Another series that started off good, but got ruined.

It's not great, but at least it's not as bad as it was in its franchise zombie state, when a bunch of different people were creating Spyro games. Too bad Insomniac sold it after Spyro 3.

I played it on PS2, and Gamecube, which are the only two systems it was released for. It sucks ass anyways, so don't even bother getting the game if you're interested. You could possibly play it on your computer using either PCSX2 (PS2 Emulator) or Dolphin (Gamecube Emulator). The version I own, and was playing in the video is the gamecube version.

I absolutely hated the graphics and storyline in this game; everyone looked like playdoe, and you had to free statue dragons like in the first, and the fireflies were basically the eggs from the previous game. They couldn't even think of a new villain!

But man, I should try this glitch some time!

Hell yea! Insomniac is pretty damn good at making games, but I've noticed they tend to have glitches in them as well, and yes I know Spyro 4 wasn't made by Insomniac. what do you use to make games? Do you program them, or do you use something like Flash, Gamemaker 7, or the Gamestudio A7 Engine?

I know, I wanted to be a video game tester (not anymore) because I find lots of glitches, but the glitches I find seem to make the game more fun, so it would be pointless to take them out. This game is just way too buggy though.
