I think this season has proven the Sid vs OV debate. OV is playing with better linesman and look at Sid. OV stats are horrible compare to sids and imagine if he wasnt injured where he would be. I would say at least 50 goals by now w/ 100+ pts. I like both players but Sid is better

sidney crosby = 215 goals, 572 points in 412 games played, alex ovechkin = 293 goals, 591 points in 457 games played.. so ovechkin has played almost half a season more then crosby, and only has 19 more points then him.. crosby 1.39 points per game, ovechkin 1.29, the numbers dont lie, Sid Crosby > Alex Ovechkin

The thing about ovechkin and his scoring is that he always does the same thing when he scores. he's not like sid where he'll get down in the trenches and fight for the puck or get in the goalies face and cram it in there. ovi waits like he's entitled. that's why sid will ALWAYS be better than ovi even if he doesnt score the actual goal. he helps out his team instead of waiting to be the star like ovechkin.

Crosby has better point per game % in his career overall than ovie,  who was the most ponit in a single season? crosby with 120 points(2006-07) over ovie with 112 points. Crosby has also a better goal per shot % overall in his career than ovie, ovies takes 400 to 500 goals a year, crosby dosent need to take that many shots to score goals, btw crosby is a center so he is going to have less goals
