Do I think Diana would've loved a small wedding as this? HELL YES, do I think the Queen would let it happen? HELL NOOOOOOOOOOO..... Do you really think a shy person like Princess Di would've wanted all those people around? Also, she would've probably opted for a much smaller cathedral, who knows....however, she isn't a mistake, she turned that Palace around and really drilled what's right in their heads, that this country can definitely be thankful for....
Seriously, Diana and Charles married in 1981 (18 years earlier) and Sarah and Andrew married in 1986 (13 years earlier). Obviously fashioned evolved a lot over those years. Sophie's dress would have been considered a major disappointment in 1981 or 1986 but it was elegant and classic for the time when she married. Likewise, Diana and Sarah's gowns were appropriate for the time but would have seemed ridiculous in 1999.
Henry the VIII is buried in this chapel. There is a simple memorial plaque to note this. When I visited I expected he would have something larger than life, just as he was, but it's just a floor plaque (they walk over it when they go past the choir).
this wedding for this couple they were way more mature than Diana and Sarah those two were spoiled, she did not come in a glass coach nor did she have a cinderella dress with a twenty foot train, you can tell as well as i Sophie was way more mature to be married into royalty than Diana and Sarah those two had issues i could tell Sophie is just decent and one of the more respectable ladies just like Autumn Kelly a non royal relation marrying into the family will always do better
@catlover5575 Excuse me, but i hope you are not calling dear Diana and Sarah primadonnas?! just cause they arrived in carriages and had elaborate gowns!...the reason why Sophie arrived in a sheet and a car was cause she was marrying someone lower on the ladder to the throne, as apposed to charles and andrew who are further up.
They both look so happy, and Sophie looks beautiful. Wonderful music, too. Widor's Toccata was played at my wedding - brings back very happy memories whenever I hear it.

@324wilson These low IQ idiots have the country thinking for yrs they have Royal Blood, what the heck is that? Unless I missed something in school, its called Red Blood ! Least they got the R, correct. Sitting on your Royal wrinkled rump living off tax $, Called Welfare where I'm from fool. You've sold the whole nation a bunch of buffoonery , while you ride around in some prehistoric buggy, with a stupid teaira on your head. Take that stupid thing off... that belongs to Cinderella
i will agree about 86', but this was not that bad!!! what is so wrong with this wedding?? first of all they are still together so they must have done something right:) secondly it was simple and elagant, a tad medieval, which i find very romantic. And nothing i think can ever top 81', that was magic!

@324wilson The Queen always looks beautiful. I actually think she's got more stylish as she's got older.

@324wilson It's the last wedding she really got dressed up for. She should've wore something similar @ Kate and Williams wedding.
