  • I'm from VN....Dragon fruit is very good, taste great. It has thousands of small seed so you have to eat them all. The best thing is your body doesn't digest all of those seed so you can see them in your POOPS. Great scene.

  • There was a type of kiwi fruit I used to get all the time over there that had a cinnamon flavor and was red on the inside. Incredibly delicious! Haven't been able to locate it here in the US. Anybody familiar with it or know it's name? I've heard that there might be a farm that grows them in the Florida Keys...

  • I'm from South America and we have the yellow dragon fruits. Yellow pitahayas are more common down here. Never seen the red ones like those, It looks delicious! The yellow pitahayas are more clear, more of like a jelly, and it's sweet every bite. It taste like kiwi and grapes.

  • i'm Vietnamese and i hate V-Fruits

  • I have a few varieties of dragon fruit (pitaya) growing really well in my yard right now. i have white center, pink center & red center (I forget the names). I hear the yellow ones are really good but are pickier about where they are grown so I didn't get the yellow ones for that reason. I am in the bay area in California so by the way they are growing so fast I should get some fruit soon.

  • what the heck, next time you go there, take a deal, shouldnt be more than ten thousands dong for that whole dragon fruit!

  • VN dragon fruit is self fertile (Hylocereus undatus) and found in any city in the US where there is an Asian community. Actually it originated in Central America. I have 4 cultivars planted in my backyard.. Very easy to plant, the cutting. Plant it on the ground however, try it on pots for urban farming.

  • You can buy that in any city is US that has a vietnamese or chine population..

    Same here is Australia

  • I'm VIetnamese, live in Saigon.

We call it "Thanh Long" (green-dragon fruit)

VN People plant it a lot in Ninh Thuan & Binh Thuan province

"Thanh long" is mild-sweet and good for health

It is very cheap here ( 75 US cents /1kg!!!)

It's expensive when you buy it in Ben Thanh market or another places in District 1

  • it's kind of like kiwi, except it's sweet =D

  • You need to re-do the video, cannot hear you at the beginning of the video. I can buy this food in Chinatown here in Toronto. Chinese called it Dragon Fruit. It is not cheap. I tried it once, it taste like kiwi.

  • I went to a pavilions here in california and asked if they have any and the guy is my friend so he special ordered some for me. Im looking forward to trying it.

  • I love eating thous fruit.used to pick it in the countryside.

  • I'm vietnamese and my mom, she goes to vietnamese stores and she buys dragonfruits for my grandma and they taste really sweet but not too sweet and are juicy too

  • Thanks for visiting mate, actually there is the dragon fruit in the states but its 8 times more expensive lol. For ex, in Australia where I live, a dragon fruit is 7.50 a single fruit. In VN its 20.000d which is like 90c AUS.

  • yeah, they do have them in the states, At asian markets. Come to San Jose, CA, I'll show you. They're very expensive though. Hey Try some Durian fruit. I think that's how you spell it, but anyway, try it see if you like it.

  • No, Durian is NOT the same as Dragon Fruit. I do not eat Durian because it has a very very stong smell, I dont like it. The red fruit in this video is Dragon Fruit. I don't know if it has other names, I am not a biologist. This Dragon Fruit is not cheap. Dragon Fruit does not have a strong semll, and has a mild sweet taste. Very good.

  • he never said durian was the same as dragon fruit.

  • i think it's kinda weird that people say durian doesn't smell good because i think it smells really good, well to me only lol. i can't see their point of view on how it smells bad

  • This is actually called a Pitahaya and it comes from Mexico, it was originally used by the Aztecs, hence Pitahaya. A lot of Asian countries now have them that's why you can find it over there, they even sell it here in N.Y. in Chinatown which is pretty funny because you can't find it in any Mexican Convinience stores... why you ask, because it's suppose to be illegal to bring them in to the states.

  • they do have them in the states at the asian gercery stores
