To my taste, the best interpretation of this piece ever. Chopin is great enough to be played exactly as written - and this is the case. Virtuosity ad maximum, pseudo-creativity ad minimum...
crazy how i keep looking for other pianists on this piece and zimmermans the only one who plays it to my liking.....guess i got spoiled out the gate :/
A really good interpretation. But i have a CD from Horowitz and i would say he plays even a little bit better. But i do not mean the recording which is also as video in youtube (i think it is called "television concert"). In that video his interpretation is not good. Take also attention to the recording of Kissin.
@Fibiger17 As a general rule, Horowitz doesn't play Chopin well in stylistic terms. I agree that his interpretation is very exciting, but stylistically, he's incorrect.
This is the closest interpretation to Chopin that I've heard so far. Krystian Zimerman is great because he just puts his hands on the keys and plays. No complicated technical rubbish.
Tökéletesen játszik. Szeretek Chopint játszani és hasonló a stílusom, ezért megnyerő. Hibátlan. Szívvel és Lélekkel játszik. Igazi Művész, Gratulálok!
This is the very song that influenced myself to learn the piano. I am only an amature but one day I hope to have the capability and talent of interpretating this piece.
One of the most beautiful piano pieces of all time.... how can someone write something like this? How can someone play this piece so well? Best interpretation I have heard. Its almost as if I see Chopin himself playing in this video. Infinity / 10
Valóban csodálatosan játszik. Az ember igazán embernek mondhatja magát ilyen mély érzésekkel. Magam is Chopint szeretem legjobban játszani, nem véletlen, a leg kifejezőbb előadás.
Comunque OSTREGA! :DDD se ne vedessero di più

Something isn't right with his playing - If you look closely, on the third measure of the second movement, Zimmerman's finger is playing A minor, but the tone is D negative . . . . just kidding, just kidding. I have no idea what I'm talking about. Great playing though. Got to love the Polish Composer Chopin. What? What did you say? What did you say about my Mom?!!
there is nobody who plays chopin better than zimerman. who is the one that doesn't like this?

I like Zimmermans interpretation . More of espressivo and staccato than others. A great pianist.

Surely this is how Chopin would have played it? He looked so relaxed and at one with the instrument.

In the cd version is also better, for example the drammatic coda is faster and really "presto con fuoco".
