  • Suckiest car ever. I hate it. Its ugly and too expensive

  • finally somebody who can afford it and knows how to drive it

  • Veyrons are stupid...so overrated, DOUBLE the cylinders of an Ultimate Aero, DOUBLE the turbochargers, and LESS horpower while weighing that much more? Costing more? What's the point? I've never understood this car.

  • @wotanzorz you are to brainless to understood this car

  • @Borchi33 You're retarded. If you weren't a stupid fuck you would realize that this car is the biggest waste of money on the fucking planet. Also, don't call me "brianless" until you can speak proper English.

  • @wotanzorz when you buy this car you dont about the money !!

  • That is still the weirdest sound a car can make. God, I love that Veyron. Pointless for any kind of racing - except drag racing, perhaps - but still a great car!

  • =DDD BMW or Lancia is much much better !!

  • Hmm, the announcer has got adenoids...

Sounds like Clarkson taking the piss out of the Ferrari owners club.

  • This was more to show the car off than get a good time, I've seen Pug 205's do the hill in 45secs I'm sure they accept it was never going to be the quickest up the hill, but the owners club own the hill so why not drive it up? oh I've seen the vid before thanks..

  • Veyron is without doubt a fast car but the looks? it looks like HORSE SHIT!!

And if you want to see a proper hill climbing watch?v=paClRcT39HY

  • HEAVY ......

  • Why is it that when you do see cars of this calibur out on the track, you nearly always see the owner sat in the passanger seat and some touring car driver in the driving seat.. If you cant drive it dont frikken buy it!

  • I don't know what you are talking about, I take the Veyron anyway

  • Yeah too much focus on art and not enough cars :)

  • @c7borg low frame, bad driving...

  • thats fast ! cud not tell really see it picking up speed out of turns on topgear coz they change the camra angle 5 times a second ,

  • Boy that is one ugly car!

  • I'd rather have an M3, but the Veyron is still a cool car.

  • @drenajunkie that's a strange comment.. personally I'd rather have the veyron, sell it then fill my garage up with cars inclduing a M3 and still have change... lol

  • @c7borg been playing Gran turismo 5 huh? lol

  • After seeing a a 600hp Delta S4 do a hillclimb,.. this looks just to boring.. *yawn.. veyron*

  • @Synetearis that's only because the S4 is louder ;P

  • @c7borg

    very big LOL :D

  • @c7borg the reason why the veyron is so quite is that he need not much rpm to do his 1250newton

  • @Synetearis ha ha ha! I agree! Or Ary Vatanene with peugeot 406 on Pikes Peak :)))

  • Well the new Veyron supersport is shedding 100kgs so it's only 1838kgs now :)

Still even with that weigh it's 1500nm of torque and 1200bhp takes it to 60 in 2.5 secs and a top speed of 270mph which isn't hanging around, hopefully they'll take it to prescot to improve on the original time :)

  • Veyron is too fat for hill climbs :P

  • Mini Cooper Anyday

  • I'm sure actually driving in it is an entirely different story, but the sound that comes out of the Veyron on these videos just isn't anything remotely spectacular.

  • Shouldnt be THAT difficult to make something faster.. Good ol' big block Chevy with some turbos on it in some souped up old formula chassis.. And a slippery lexan remote control style shell on top.

  • In this track the Veyron has no chance against cars that cost a fraction 1/20, like the Caterham R500.

  • The fact is, that Prescott is home of the Bugatti owners club, thats why they are racing there. Bugatti Own Prescott!!!

  • WWWWWWUSCH!!!

  • hear hear...

  • oooh, stop arguing about veyron being suitable for hill climb or not! It wasn't there to win, it was just to show it to people.

  • Good mother of God that thing is fast... Impressive driving too- I wouldn't have the balls to rip around in that bahemouth like that...

  • I think that's Lord Pembrokes Veyron

  • Acceleration WIN!

  • Hill climb, the awesomest kind of motor sports

  • sound really boring...

  • I think it's safe to say, that thing will sound incredible with better breathing :D

  • sure would be fun to take one for a hell ride though

  • Certainly not the classic hill-climb type of car, but man, look at that thing sinks down and goes out of a corner!

  • Great video and pictures - fantastic car

  • If u where to hill climb this it should be lighter, it has the power but it's to heavy

  • THATS A CAR

  • What time did it do?

  • what a sound :O

  • for what do yo want 1000hp if 1700 kg don´t let you take a corner

  • 1000 HP and a documented top speed of just over 250mph, quite a car, but its very heavy and cost over $1M, sorry but I'll take a Lotus Exige anyday over this and bank the remaining $950K.

  • @KlunkerRider me too ;)

  • @c7borg daaaamn straight.. or even a caterham would be a blast

  • @c7borg i won't

  • @c7borg me too!! :)

  • @KlunkerRider and ill take my prius over the lotus any day, build a 9 second buick grand national w/cruz and w/AC and w/sunroof and still have thousands left over and two cars lol. jk'ing or am i?

  • @xxxxdarksidexxxx , I'm sure you could build a hot Buick, if had time/money would like to build a Cobra but backdate it to AC Ace 286. Driven a Prius, wasnt impressed, leaden and dull IMO, ever driven a Honda Civic hybrid, way better handling and performance, but best hybrid driven was Nissan Altima hybrid, drove like a dam BMW M3 and still got crazy hi milage. Check it out, Enjoy ;)

  • @KlunkerRider nice excuces... ure just jelous on him cuz u cant afford it

  • @QuiteSpyrtY Come on dude, for the price of that chunky Buggie, I could stock my garage with just about every car on my wish list and still a couple bucks left over for brews. LOL

  • @KlunkerRider if the only cars on your wishlist are american stock musclecars.... yeah... but then you have nothing else than a big pile of chunk stacked up in your garage... cant have a decent wishcarlist without: porsche lamos in general ferraris in general zonda koenigsegg bentley aston martin mclaren i could go on for a while... every one listed above has at least one car around half a mill except if your only choice is a mustang and a vette.... then ur screwed....
  • @PouChen I like your car list, to me theres a difference between a wishlist (R8 tops mine) and realisticly approachable cars. No Detroit Muscle Cars on my list, but dont knock that latest Vette, even Jeremy Clarkson was impressed. Dont need to spend 1/2 mil per car to get my wishlist filled: Lotus Exige S, Nissan 370Z, BMW Z4 coupe, Fiat 500 SS Abarth, Habayusa Smart, Porsche Cayman, to name a few, all a ball to drive and all alot more approachable compared to the hyper-cars on your list. ;-)

  • @KlunkerRider I own a modified Celica with a GTFOUR engine swap inspired by FENSPORT's celica and its 400bhp which is good for a car that started out at 140bhp with that vvti engine. I also own a little Toyota Aygo which is supurb. Far more happy with that combination of a quick petrol drinking turbo car and a small fun eco box then a hyper car thats really difficult to live with on a day to day basis and worrying about it getting nicked

  • @jamesthq That's like saying you prefer your fat ugly chick cause if you were married to Angelina Jolie someone else might fucker her!!!

  • @KlunkerRider Yes i understand BUT the ones who buy a Veyron sometimes buy two of them ... it is another world

  • @43932 dont forget the private jet to fly them where-ever they are going. Yes it is a different world

  • @43932 at prescott last year one guy who owned a veyron also had the veyron pur sang (Finished in chrome and costs about half a million more), he didnt drive the cars there though, both were carried in a transporter. His Car??? A Rolls Royce Phantom convertible, very different world

  • @KlunkerRider I AGREE

  • @KlunkerRider you wont get the same thrill when u put your foot down thowgf

  • @KlunkerRider If you can afford this car, a Lotus would be spare change. The maintenance alone for the Bugatti would costs as much as a used WRX.

  • @calvin950 more than a use wrc

  • @KlunkerRider I agree....

Veyron=pointless......It has two twin turbo v8 engines, 4wd, huge price ect but its not much faster [top speed] than say a koenigsegg, which only has one engine.... Id much rather buy something nicer.

Heck even my MGB is nicer

  • since when????!!!!

  • really?

  • wow you can recite top gear goodjob and just becaus its stock and goes fast dont make it the fastest car EVER retard

  • i like it when people use their cars even if the cars are very exepensive and exclusive and not to have them standing in the garage otherwise that thing shouldnt have become a car...

  • That is ugly car!!!!!

  • jajaj, you are funny

  • ok, that is fact, car is fucking ugly, and its not werry good at hillclimp, it is made for driving different roads.

  • It might not be the best car for this, but I apreciate the fact that they would do it. I bet most veyrons will end up in abillionaires garage just sitting...

  • bare in mind this was taken in 2007 when the veyron had only just been seen on top gear.. it was at the Bugati owners club track so was quiet a specticle.. admittedly it would be better suited to a larger track like the nurburgring but non the less it certainly stretched it 1000bhp legs... trust me I was there :)

  • @adamtt1987 an normal bugatti has 1001hp

  • what the fuck is this? bugattti on rally track? bad idea

  • @alejacoportis It's not a rally track, it's a hill climb - hill climbs are more suited to race cars.. that's not to say a rally car can't go up I'm sure it would be very exciting :)

  • :) ok

  • @alejacoportis not a rally track m8!

  • @alejacoportis not really. This serves to demonstrate the abilities of this great supercar.

  • Giving the people something to look at

  • @CHKNSFKN well why not. I hate those rich motherfu*kers who buy supercars but are most of the time too afraid to drive it like its meant to. Usually some old fu*ks who want to live their second youth and the car is just to get pus*y.

  • i forgot to look at the date i didnt know th vid was made in 2007 so this was probably an emotional day for those resent

  • *present

  • some people respect thier cars some dont... but the ones that do respect thier cars respect them for a reason. i bought a Ford EF XR8 when i turned 18 and here we are almost 11 years on and iv still got it!! same motor too!!! And il still own it when my son turns 18!!!! And he's not fukn touchin it!!!!!

  • Watch an Audi Quattro do it instead - far more inspiring :-)

  • Extremely fast, but not the best for cornering.

  • not the fastest car for bends ^^

  • whos bloody idea was it to use a veron for a hill climb

  • u got money u use a veyron for a hill climb :P

  • well yeah if i had one it wouldnt stay in the shed

  • @batch2448 Why not? The guy was just having some fun and seeing what his Veyron was capable of.

  • @Sursion7 Veyron is a car with long gear ratios and very heavy, not suited for hill climb.

  • yeah, on Topgear everyone was amazed it wasnt the top of the leaderboard but it is a cruiser, the ultimate luxury, how does it stand a chance against stripped out race machines scarcely road legal? v. cool

  • @WITHAMF You're totally right.

  • black cherry with dark emerald green, haven't seen a veyron with that color combination before. I like it

  • the engine sound is just awesome...

  • Awesome machine...what a GREAT exhaust note!!

Obviously not going 10/10ths but that's to be expected lol

I agree it is far from the best vehicle for this type of event but I bet the crowd got a huge thrill from seeing it in action.

The only thing I don't like about the Veyron is that Simon Cowell has one.......

  • Let me say this: the Veyron wasn't designed as a racing car, it wasn't designed as a luxury car.

It was designed to show that Bugatti was able to make the most luxurious car with over 1000 bhp.

    And they succeeded.

  • the CCX could fly on this track as the veyron could fly on this track, but they aren't cheap....

one point. the veyron wont be a racing car on any racing team, but the ccx is....

  • Soooo fast.... wow Standard Car with the unleash key... thats really insanely fast

  • Seems to be too heavy to this kind of stuff :-)

  • Pretty much any sports car made would shit on the veyron on this track. What a joke this is an autocross.

M3 would eat it alive on this track.

  • *yawns* yeah right...don't tell me you own a 320i

  • Haha sure man, i own a 4 banger e36.

Honestly if i did it would probably beat this. That guys driving a millioin + dollar car and you can tell from the way hes driving it.

  • good 1 he probably does i would say the "bug" would have set a pretty good time but if it was a caparo T1 it would have stonked that course in about 2 minutes but the buggati veyron would be my choice too

  • CCx would eat Veyron

  • CCX would fly off the track because it has no down force

  • those turbos wont even get spinning round that track

  • veyrons are overrated and overpriced

  • no.

  • true it's a good car for straight lines, but for conering it's to heavy and the traction control does all the work for the driver. it's too expensive xD so don't crash it.

a champion car must go around the corners, that's why i love wrc wttc formula 1 (now is just shit)

  • i just love the way the engine breaths the air :D

  • over 1 mil $ masterpiece :d

  • he drove slow around that track.

i dont know whether it is the driver or the car!!!!!!

  • Both.

Only a moron would bring a speedboat to a hill climb.

  • And only a moron would mention a boat and a hill when talking about cars and hills. Maybe that "boat" has a huge torque in 1 and 2nd gear.

  • Like... how a boat does?

A Bugatti is about as wide and overpowered as a large boat. Along with most Cadillacs too.

  • well you can swim if you want to, but i'll take the "fat" boat.

  • I'd rather take a little motorboat. A rover mini, lol.

  • thats right! much faster....

  • a go-Kart would be faster on that track...

  • 1001BHP MONSTER SOUND IS HELL

  • Correction 987bhp. It's 1001ps

  • Correction . Between 1037 and 1052 HP. But only 1001 on paper for marketing purpose.

  • CRAZY PEOPLE

  • I want to see a race version of one. Because the regular versions are full of heavy seats and leather and a bunch of un-needed shit

  • Won't happen. Veyron W16 engine is the reason given FIA rules to limit number for cylinders to 12 for racing.

  • They could always just put another engine in.

  • hahaha that's great. good idea

  • Like maybe a big block Chevy?

  • Yes, Dave. Like big fuckin' block Chevy.

  • Woohoo!

  • Actually, just a small block.

  • the guy in the speaker is to fucking boring

  • yes u have a point

  • that car is designed for big open roads not hillclimbs

i personally think the guy who took that to a hill climb should by a proper race car if he wants to do hills would be more fun too

  • meh, if i spent that much money on a car i would use it any chance i get; and even if it's not meant for hillclimbs, i'm sure the driver is learning a lot about his car. more than most Veyron owners at least

  • at least he is driving it, not just using it as some big pompous ass status symbol

  • che macchina inutile. 100 cv per niente.... che rumore di merda! con una lancia delta da 300 cv gli giri intorno....

  • how did the veyron compared to normal hillclimb cars?

  • Comment removed

  • He/she is a bit brave to bring something worth over 1.5 million dollars to a hill climb.

  • that looks like serious fun. still i believe that i could push it even more after a few days of driving it.

  • i think the guy who is driving the bugatti really drives great ;) i mean this car is to heavy and has to many hp and he corners this car fast ;)

  • That guy is Pierre-Henri Raphanel, official Bugatti driver and ex-Formula One driver. Most drivers will tell you Veyron feels like 500 KG less of its weight when cornering and is easy to drive. In fact, Veyron is at its best on twisted mountain road.

  • wow thats pretty nice actually but yeah you only know when you experience and not much people do experience this ;)

  • not a light car but thats dawm quick

  • The average person probably doesn't realize the Veyron is still covering this distance very quickly! It doesn't seem that way because it's quiet and doesn't have to rev to be fast. But anyway, this isn't the kind of thing the Veyron was born to do......

  • I really don't like the Veyron very much.

  • i agree. i like the keoniggesgg (sp) better. i think the veyron is overrated just because of its top speed. there are many other cars that perform better than the veyron

  • that and it weights as much as a city block, and the 1000 hp they go on about is just not all impressive if you think it took them 4 turbo's and 16 cylinders to make that much power. meh

  • I agree, but i'm sure the power delivery and the torque is out of this world, compared with say a modded street car with the same power. I think this is an exceptional car, designed to be the fastest car in the world and it achieves that, but it takes it so much further than just raw speed. They way its so stable and quite and the luxury of it. Truely epic!

  • I like the Koenigsegg CCX better as well.

This is a pretty cool piece of engineering though. To fit 16 cylinders, 4 turbos and 4 intercoolers into that car, that is impressive.

I don't like the looks of it... it's pretty ugly and I hate automatic gearboxes.

  • I HATE Auto too, but I BELIEVE the Veyron allows you to switch on the fly to Manual if you wish....

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • It has a dual clutch system for a gearbox. It uses 2 clutches where 1 clutch runs gears 1,3,5, and 7. The other one runs gears 2,4, and 6. This means that when switching from one gear to the next, all that has to happen is one clutch with pull out and the other clutch will engage. This makes it so that you can get shifts in less than 200 milliseconds. Think of it basically as a manual with a clutch that the computer controls. You just flip that paddles to choose what gear you want and your set.

  • so can you shift gears one by one? lol cuz that would be sweet

  • I'd reccomend reading about "Direct-shift gearbox"es on wikipedia.

They're a phenominal piece of machinery, very befitting of a car such as the Veyron.

  • alright I'll do that, thanks! :-)

  • No problems at all.

  • Yah. Right.

  • 3000ST1 is talking the truth.

  • drunk hippopotamus, funny

  • nothing special ..

  • Might be ok for salt flats but that thing is shit for windy tracks like Prescott- handles like a drunk hippopotamus. You could beat it in a 100 hp Lotus Seven.

  • Dont mock the lotus seven. they were fast..............ish :P

  • You idiot, don't compare apples to oranges. The Lotus Seven might beat it on this track, but that's all it'll do. The Bugatti, on the other hand, has the amenities of a small yacht, enough power to sustain a small village, and two farms worth of leather.

  • Forgot to add that the Seven doesn't even have cup holders. (I won't lie, the Seven, is a fantastic car.)
