I've just worked with Freema on a kids television show, and she was totally adorable and modest. Your video is very sweet, and well-deserved by the actress within.
Very lucky you. Freema seems very open and unaffected. I agree, this poem, although written for a fair young man, seems to describe the lovely woman we fans have only seen on television. Are you crew or talent if we may ask?
I'm a writer/ director, and hoping to work with her again very soon. What a talent! I work with so many who aren't charming OR competent, F.A. was a real gem, no question.
Hi there! It was a mini-version of the Muppets for Nickelodeon, with two worms. Very cute! You might catch repeats of it I guess. A very nice experience indeed
Wait, I just started reading Shakespeare's sonnet sequence in class... If Martha's the Dark Lady, does that make the Doctor Shakespeare's beloved young man? Just kidding! Don't want to take it too far, now do we? LOL!
LOL, I think Will might have written this for Jack Harkness and recycled it. He does have quite a few poems to his Dark Lady, but this one is written to his young man. The Lady in question was married and she broke his heart, so all of the poems aren't as nice. I think the first Dark Lady starts out, My lover's eyes are nothing like the sun, or something.
HIs attitude changes because supposedly he learned the real Dark Lady; reputed as a poet, and maybe a herbalist (I'll have to check) and the Youth were romantically involved--and I guess didn't invite him. It would do beautifully for a Jack/Martha fan fiction.
She is lovely, but I think --Doctor who is supposedly a kiddie show--some fans appear rather shocked at you sharing your fantasy ; maybe if you phrased in language like the Song of Solomon or Shakespeare's more expressive poetry?
Martha should have given Will a breath mint (and seeing that it was Shakespeare a huge shot of penicillin) and got her historical kiss. He was cute. This is a beautiful song and video.
beautiful song and words for a beautiful lady and show. this is a amazing video and is going to my favorites 5/5 and i truly bow to your magnifecient video making skills
I don't know who Martha Jones is nor do I watch Dr Who, however this is a wonderful clip obviously put together with love. The music is superb - never have the Bard's words sounded more beautiful. Thank you for creating and sharing it!
judiavi, this is the most generous and lovely comment I have ever seen! Thank you for appreciating labour of love, however flawed, and over the barriers of fandom too.
Fantastic, Brilliant, I love it. Martha is incredibly awesome. The video, the song, the sonnet are for lack of a better word "Pecfect". They suit Martha perfectly. And I definitely agree very original.
In a world of ever more coarse entertainment, it is to Doctor Who's (& David Gilmour's) credit to press into service the timeless words of Shakespeare. How wonderous it is to recognize the beauty of a woman (Martha Jones--played by the lovely Freema Agyeman) in such a gentle and high-minded way.
I have been busy of late and I'm playing catch up on all my subscriptions! Sorry for the delay - I absolutely loved this video, how is it you manage to pick the perfect song for each vid??? I am envious :D Lovely vid - five stars!
...forget that tv-stuff, he has the same voice as David Gilmour ! WOW ! check out my two versions of no. 18 ! LES

Yeah this sonnet comes under the category for the Youth but then after sonnet 126 they're all addressed to the Dark Lady.
And coincidentally sonnet 18 seems to be (from what we learned in class) when the attitude towards the Youth changes.
