I completed all the small lady quests (forgotten name) and half of the guild quests with no-one. Would it of been easier with friends? (I killed the akantor)
this game changed my life i never played a game for a few minutes but it turned out to be a few hours this game sucks you inside of it making you play for long periods of time while being intertained the best game in the worldmonster hunter rocks

@Zeratol001 I personally never used the claw, and you don't have to, and it was only because of the psp that you even had to do that. On MHFU I just used the L button and used my thumb. Quick thumb + Predictions of what the monster is doing = Saving your ass.
The camera is meant for REAL pros GamePro. Poorly implemented? Yeah right. WTF is up with that? The combat is fluid and challenging. Whoever was the reviewer in GamePro is a noob in REAL hardcore games like Monster Hunter.

i love how i've heard people bitching about no life bar on creatures. it's more fun that way. it's much more satisfying to be surprised about killing a creature rather than knowing that you are two hits away. and the camera isn't that hard to control. just drape your left pointer finger over the L button and control it that way. not that hard.

the camera controls is what puts me off about the game. It would have been great if you can change the horizontal camera control to the shoulder buttons. Other than that it is a great game, much has inproved since the origanal MHF2. Gamepro and G4TV are both on my list of "Do not watch/read" list because they are both horrible sources. Capcom is the best.

This EXPANSION PACK is definitely worth it though, especially for seasoned players. All the little annoying glitches that were apparent in the previous versions, they have corrected.

Capcom did and UNREAL job porting the controls from PS2 to PSP. And after four opr five missions, the camera becomes very easy to use. Stupid Gamepro...

The controls are fine. Takes time to get used to. Using the left index finger to pan with both the left and right diferectional buttons. All people do is bitch and whine about shit like this. It's a skilled game. Don't expect lock-ons and a babysitter telling to to mash X for 80 hours like in FF games. It takes skills and you'll have to adjust how you play games.
when I first got monster hunter I though the combat was a little rough to get use to. Soon after learing how to time my moves I was hooked to this game.
your right nothing is more fun grinding more gear while your going a long trip inside a bus :) I never would guess i was that quickly at my destination i sometimes wish the trip was a bit longer ;p
any magazine that downs this game because of the camera is an idiot, if you play long enough you become so used to changing the camera angle that it almost seems automatic
This game is great with a sibling or friend it makes it easier.

@SexyVampire99 the gobul were the most annoying thing in this game and i found myself taking a lance underwater instead of a longsword. or even the new overpowered team fuck swich axe. it anoys other players and has a high attack power. but admitadly there were monsters in mhfu that i just found plain stupid. monoblos is a comlete copy of diablos and was totaly a waste of time. khezu, i dont even need to say anything. but with the lack of infrastructure in mhfu, its half the experience.

@SexyVampire99 this game altogether was just a fail. it should have been on ps3 anyway. it would have been in 1080P or at least 720P. another thing is that it would have been longer. but all of the old monsters will not be included with the exeption of the most popular flagships. so in mh4 no lagia,barioth,gigi. the devs realized they werent making sequels. just expansions. man, i love this series. and i beleive i am capcoms most devoted fan of the series (in US)

i love how i've heard people bitching about no life bar on creatures. it's more fun that way. it's much more satisfying to be surprised about killing a creature rather than knowing that you are two hits away. and the camera isn't that hard to control. just drape your left pointer finger over the L button and control it that way. not that hard.

the camera controls is what puts me off about the game. It would have been great if you can change the horizontal camera control to the shoulder buttons. Other than that it is a great game, much has inproved since the origanal MHF2. Gamepro and G4TV are both on my list of "Do not watch/read" list because they are both horrible sources. Capcom is the best.

I bought a PSP just so I could play Freedom 1.
I've been addicted to the series ever since.
This EXPANSION PACK is definitely worth it though, especially for seasoned players. All the little annoying glitches that were apparent in the previous versions, they have corrected.
I've always been bothered by people complaints about the camera.
Capcom did and UNREAL job porting the controls from PS2 to PSP. And after four opr five missions, the camera becomes very easy to use. Stupid Gamepro...

The controls are fine. Takes time to get used to. Using the left index finger to pan with both the left and right diferectional buttons. All people do is bitch and whine about shit like this. It's a skilled game. Don't expect lock-ons and a babysitter telling to to mash X for 80 hours like in FF games. It takes skills and you'll have to adjust how you play games.
