Which means the game will auto-switch to the appropriate load-out. You can read all about this on the official forums. The only shield glitches are cloning and the fake Sticky Shield (which of course, if you try to use it with anything other than a pistol, the slot check is enabled as soon as you try and fire, and you will automatically switch weapons).

yesterday i was playing wingman and i just picked up shield and it popped out 2 and one on my arm and if i picked it up again id clone two more me on mortar and my friend on sniper me made fortresses
