  • sure is something to see tho (not even being sarcastic, just a bit smashed)

  • @TheSampo24 your lucky mate i wish i was lol

  • @withholeyshoes hello thankyou for you information my friend

  • what is the yellow dust?

  • hehe well done nigga but erm I see no eruption

  • It is quite possible that magma has got very close to the surface, close enough to melt the glacier from underneath causing the flood. Or its a hydrothermal explosion. Either way, Katla could still erupt fully, keep your eyes peeled people!

  • 5:44 - which part of southern iceland is it ?

  • @vitacit the volcano is katla the chopper follows the melt path..as you see many sink holes ..and roads swept away..now tell me its not active ...cheers

  • @greenbananaful yeah, it's active for sure ! i was just wonderin if the melt path goes toward vik or east of vik ?

  • Do we need the captivating sound of helicopter muzak or can we just use our already over-active imaginations?

  • at least the helicopter is really quiet

  • Looks like huge sink holes. Great vid. thnx for sharing.

  • Is that ICE?

  • What an amazing video. Awesome.

  • By the look of those holes in the ice there is alot of heat reaching the surface. Katla could erupt within days to weeks but extremely likely within a few months.

  • ...and again hexagonal shaped holes in that glacier...this is indeed entrance to hell/mordor, facking beast/serpent bases down there...

  • Nobody knows for sure if Katla erupted.

  • @razorren well that 3 million gallons of water wasnt there the other day

  • @greenbananaful

it is also possible that it could've been a rise in temperature of some geothermal vents...but there is no solid evidence that an eruption took place

  • cont... The flood in Múlakvísl has subsided, the water level in the river has returned to normal and the Civil Protection Department has lowered the stage of preparation from danger to uncertainty, ruv.is reports.

All Is Quiet, No Eruption in Katla, Ring Road Closed

The activity in Mýrdalsjökull glacier in south Iceland, which covers the volcano Katla, has decreased significantly, according to Sigthrúdur Ármannsdóttir, a geographer at the Icelandic Meteorological Office.

  • the ice is almost gone wow
