Why is crossing closed so long, at least 3.5 minutes, before train arrival?

To allow a high speed train to receive a signal and to slow and stop if the crossing is not clear after gates have lowered?

Why did you not turn off engine and save expensive fuel and pollution?

Rather than zoom in, move closer instead of partially blocking a lane.

I used to use this railway station and used to like the evolving graffiti on the wall near this crossing. I don't remember the exact ordering but there was at the very least WBA = SHIT, AVFC = SHIT, AVFC = HIT

It would be going slow - the station at Cradley Heath is only just to the right of this crossing!

the train was just leaving the station (which is just to the right of the shot) and heading towards birmingham. for the amount of time that the barriers were down, its very likely that the video just missed the train headed for worcester.

Hi rendton , the station is to the right of the crossing and the platform stops just short of the crossing so the approach of the train would be very slow unless it was straight through . However your correct about the length of time that the barriers come down they tend to be like this at crossings in the west midlands .
