  • Acknowledge GOD in all things!

  • @auntymabele what exactly is an answered prayer? Your team winning the game? You studying really hard and aceing that math test? Starving children going hungry despite their prayers for food?

  • Also, hate it when anti-religious people claim that people who pray also don't work to solve problems. The two aren't mutually exclusive you know.

  • @auntymabele what is needed for evidence would vary depending on the miracle claim. A better question is how can you tell when its a "miracle" and not just a slim chance? I know prayer doesn't work because I'm not a child. Asking my invisible friend to fix my problems won't make the problems go away. Instead, I work to fix those problems myself and try to talk some sense into those who don't.

  • @08codys90So you presuppose prayer doesn't work even though you don't pray and ignore the fact that it works for millions of people across the world, including myself. Prayer is not always about miracle claims, it's about seeking guidance and wisdom from the Lord in your every day life. Trying to explain these sort of things to someone who doesn't know God is like trying to describe colors to a blind man. With your attitude towards God and prayer you will never find the evidence you're seeking.

  • @auntymabele how can you expect me to believe anything you say without the evidence I asked for 3 times now? How do I know your "answered prayers" were not coincidence? Or, something ridiculous that would have happened anyway. "God, I know you are angry and made the sun go away but please, bring it back in the morning. Amen." I don't pray because I don't believe, and I ask you again, please provide evidence prayer has ever done anything.

  • @08codys90 So what exactly would count as "evidence" to you? It doesn't matter what I say you won't believe me anyway. I have all the evidence I need that God is real and that prayer is a powerful tool to one with faith. Does that help you though? No. And again, how do you know prayer does nothing if you don't pray?

  • @mrhankie2025 worship of logic? No, I just see the world for what it is. Big claims require big evidence, and I have seen none for your so called god. You shouldn't expect me to believe any god exists, let alone yours, any more than you should believe I own an invisible, intangible pink unicorn without evidence. I'm not arguing consistency between your god and prayer, I'm stating prayer does absolutely no good. And when I ask you to prove otherwise instead of doing so you get defensive.

  • @08codys90 How would you know prayer does no good if you A) Don't believe in God, B) Don't pray? That makes no sense. I've had countless prayers answered in my life.

  • @rorimans thank you for trying, but I said back it up logically. You can't back up bible claims with bible claims, it simply doesn't work that way. It also says the world is flat AND that it flooded, obviously contridicting statements. Merry Christmas, good luck finding a real claim.

  • @08codys90

With such commitment to and worship of logic you will never grasp the things of God. You're making God much smaller than he is. It's insulting to God if you expect the spiritual realm to be explained by mere human logic. You need to humble yourself and forfeit your attempt to explain this world with logic. Also, there is a difference between demonstrating the internal consistency of a belief system and arguing in a vicious circle. Don't be so quick to dismiss Bible claims.

  • @08codys90

Also, it is clear your understanding of Biblical prayer is based on nothing but unbelief. Explain to me how you can claim there's a logical inconsistency between believing our God created this universe from nothing and his being able to accomplish things through prayer.

  • Can anyone name one thing that prayer has really changed? And back of up logically, as the pastor in this video tries to say he is using? I highly doubt it. If you pray for something to change that is like you telling your god he got it wrong, and you know what is best. Do you really think you know better than your god? Really?

  • @08codys90 Hi, I thought your question is interesting and very wise to ask such. But yes, prayer does change things, if you look at Isaiah 38:1-4. Because of Hezekiah's prayer God did not allow him to die but rather added 15 more years into his life, the Prayer of Hezekiah changed the time of his death by 15 years.
