@bluedogrulez@jonansantana Isn't it funny how everyone interprets lyrics differently? That is the mark of a good lyricist. I enjoyed your interpretations. "The gap" could also relate to a sense of loss.
This song rocks. The entire album is great. Battles Here's Where the Strings Come In for 3rd place on my favorite Superchunk albums (w/ No Pocky for Kitty and On the Mouth being 1 and 2).
@bluedogrulez I think that On THe Mouth is 1 for me, followed by No Pocky, then Majesty Shredding, then Foolish, then Here's Where the Strings Come in, then S/T, then Here's to Shutting Up, then a tie between Come Pick Me Up and Indoor Living, Phew!
@iamprov : Phew is right! They have given us so much awesomeness to listen to over the years. BTW, have you seen the ARCHERS OF LOAF "reunion show" videos posted this week right here on YouTube?? Absolutely glorious!
i think about the gap between my teeth.

@johansantana17
that thing between your legs..

@johansantana17: generation gap. Plus I think it's a play on the phrase we all said as kids when our front two teeth were missing.

@bluedogrulez I haven't! Actually, I only know a few tunes by Archers of Loaf. They're on a few Merge comps I have. Gotta do some catch-up.

@fleaOWNS I LOVE this song. I've listened to it at least 100 times in the past few days. Disjointed layers are hypnotic. Brilliant!
