I think they were telling them to get off the stage when they put the "house" lights on during the middle of the song. Pearl Jam obviously didn't care and kept playing. In fact, they played one more song after this just to rub it in.

@grenada14 Once Eddie said that he did not like to explain the meaning of his songs to much since it narrows down the imagination of each and everyone that listens. I´m aware that Alive was not such a good story for Eddie but what i get out of it is that speacialy live in concert i just want to scream " i'm still Alive" and that is worth beeing Greatful for.
