  • My one wish is to have a museum made just to exhibit the set of Harry Potter. That way everyone can have taste of what it's like to step foot in the world of Harry Potter.

  • @issa1016 They have one with all these props! I saw Aragog and brooms and wands and got to wear the Sorting Hap! it shouted hufflepuff though :-( i think it's in los angeles

  • @issa1016 They're opening up the Leavesden studios for people to look around. So. There you are!

  • I love Dan so much. And Jo Rowling...she means so much to me, there're not enough words to thank for everything she's done, how Harry changed my life. ¨*.* It will never be over to me!

  • I absolutely love the Harry Potter series!! In fact, I'm reading it for I think the eighth time now!! :) Just started book three!! JK Rowling, you're an amazing woman and I truly love your work. I give you mad props!! :)

  • Is it just me or did anybody else read these comments in a British accent after watching this entire interview? Lol.

  • Dx Why'd it have to end? But thank you Joanne Rowling for the world I can escape to when reality becomes too harsh.

  • They are both extremely insightful and honest people. I just loved this so much because it was everything that I've ever wondered about how Jo felt about certain stuff all in one awesome interview :) The Potter series has so much love in it, it will never die out

  • And it ends with the leaving hogwarts song. Now I'm tearing up.

  • The door may have closed but you can open it and start writing a prologue or epilogue whenever Jo! :)

  • Awwww man...I feel like crying now...after even ten years passes! I SWEAR I WILL STILL SEE DANIEL RADCLIFFE, EMMA WATSON, AND RUPERT GRINT AND GO "Hey! It's Harry!" or "Hey! It's Hermione!" or "Hey! It's Ron!"

  • I love harry potter, i love the books i love the films, but the epilogue destroyed it for me, there can never be that "what if..."

  • It all started in May 2001: I was 12 and my Mom bought me the Dutch version of HP and the Philosopher's Stone. I finished it in less than a day and couldn't wait to read the next one. There was an enormous waiting list at the library but at the end of July 2001 I had read all of the existing Potter-books. After that I always bought the first editions(English&Dutch). I will miss the excitement of living a new year at Hogwarts and I always will. But remember Hogwarts will always be a part of us!

  • I just noticed J.K has blue eyes. She would've made a perfect Lily!

  • @iKarnezar I think she was offered the role but she didn't want to be in the films and also she was embarrassed!

  • I can't believe this actually made made me cry! I can't believe it's over! :'(

  • after the lord of the rings was done they are now doing two new movies called the Hobbit.............J.K. Rowling I beg of you to make a new movie about the life of Prof. Dumbledore. plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @teamonz The Hobbit is based on a book written and published long before the main Lord of the Rings series. It's an entirely different situation.

  • I'll miss going to the cinemas to watch the new Harry Potter movie, got used to going every 1-3 years :(

  • Now I'm more at peace with the "happy ending" from Harry potter.

  • I find it interesting that when they met he was just a small boy who seem innocent to an adult and having a serious conversation over something that is so meaning full to both of them and so many people around the world for a decade. It will be very missed

  • my childhood ended FML KMN

  • MAKE AN 8th book!!!!!! plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz i would die with happiness!!!!!!!!!

  • @seizure543 Seriously? I thought that with an one hour video divided into 4 parts people would understand that it is OVER! Just deal with it and keep reading the amazing books and watching the awesome movies :)

  • @NewWildParty95 ..........

  • Please tell me that i'm not the only person crying at the end of this?!

  • @Mymusicc11 No you definitely are not.

  • This was amazing, I'm thinking of re-reading/watching the books/films.

  • I do miss HP so very very much! I wish that JK. Rowling would write James/Lily/Snape story! That would be amazing! I have grown up with these books! I have read and lived with them since I was 11 years old! I have cried, laughted, smiled, felt afraid, anger, hurt and I have fretted about what would happen to the trio! I have always wished to go to Hogwarts since I read the first book! Please JK Rowling write some more books about the HP world!

  • is she still writing anything..does she have any other books??

  • Awh. Jo has a soft spot for Tom Felton. <3 3:20

  • And for the rest of his life no-one will call him Daniel and he will only be known as harry.

  • The music at the end is enough to make me cry..."Leaving Hogwarts"...never thought those words would be uttered :(

No more saying "Won't have to worry, it will be back next year..." because it is not coming back.

But then again, all great things must come to an end, but we don't have to say goodbye, just reach for a book or DVD and relive the magic.

    Long Live Harry Potter

  • Wat i'm wondering is why did she kill fred

    great though i luv HP

    cried the whole time

    <3

  • @formia2010 I think a large amount of the deaths were for the emotion so the scale of the battle was excelerated and be like this is it.

  • @CitrineVlogging but she could have just killed George... rit?

  • @formia2010 Hm that's true maybe it's cause for me he was always seen as the more dominant of the two.

  • @CitrineVlogging hmm.... well 2 me Fred was more Dominat cause i looked like he talked more and u say fred before geroage like it's fred & Georage not george & fred...

  • @formia2010 I meant Joe would probobly more likly kill of Fred because he is more dominant and killing of the more dominant person would make a more dramatic battle :)

  • @CitrineVlogging oh ok but still i would have killed the 1 in the back round but its proply cause hes my fav twin....

  • @formia2010 Hmm, I guess it would've had the same effect if it had been either.

  • @CitrineVlogging yea i probly would have and him dying made me like him more and me and my sis were beting who was the better twin yet she cried when i told her fred died when george was her fav...

  • @formia2010 Early in the 7th book, George had his ear blown off, and it would never regrow. He would always have a part of him missing. And not only that, but his ear was part of a pair, and I found that this was foreshadowing the death of his twin. His twin brother was taken from him and would never come back, one part of the pair would be gone forever. That being said, it could have easily been Fred who lost the ear and George who died, but both could not have happened to the same twin.

  • @formia2010 And I guess that doesn't really answer "why" in the context of "why did EITHER of them have to die", but I think that goes along with the same idea of why Tonks and Lupin had to die. Through the deaths of everyone who died in the Final Battle, she is showing the effects of war and how it tears parents from their children, friends from their friends, and twins from their other halves. I hope that makes sense :)

  • @doleightful but before that jk already killed a pare of twins, i know that fre & george were the main twins but i think she should have showen how some people live not just the main 3 o but that rons family should haved lived there the main family...

  • @formia2010 I'm sorry, but what was the other set of twins that died? The only other twins I can remember are the Patil twins, and neither of them were mentioned being killed in the books; it's assumed that they lived.

And she did show how some people live....A bunch of people lived.

  • I could listen to her talk about writing and creating "this" ALL DAY LONG!

  • When precisely was this filmed? Was it before filming of Deathly Hallows?

  • @almostelphaba After.

  • @TheSamuraiLasse Oh, thanks. It just sounded like they hadn't done the filming yet.

  • Agh they just had to play Leaving Hogwarts at the end of this :'(

  • You'll always be welcome here, Queen Jo.-3

  • I hate that they changed the costumes after the second film

  • The last few minutes of this video really just made me want to cry :/

  • It's like....talking to a child that you never got to meet ♥

  • 2012, the first year without a potter book or movie. It's a sad year for potterheads..

  • @amarustad Pottermore maybe?

  • @amarustad I'm thinking that's why the world is ending this year...

  • @Hanchulian yes, thats the only reasonable explanation i can come up with

  • I just want to cry :(

  • The dislike button is as small as Voldemort's nose!

  • In about 10 or 15 years, there will be remakes of these movies probably

  • @nonameismynameno i hope so

  • @nonameismynameno Dan and Tom were joking that they'd play Dumbledore and Snape just to see the "other side" lol

  • the music at the end always gets to me :'( i will be a potterhead for life!

  • They just had to play that music at the end to set the water works... AAAHHHHHHHHH END OF MY CHILDHOOD!

  • the hug at the end got to me, it was like them saying goodbye for the very last time :(

  • jk rowling is an amazing person, but i cant help but get the feeling shes abit of a bitch at times, she obviously had a big bustup with the mexican director too prisoner of azkaban. he never did any more films. imo that film is the best so its a shame, the director that done goblet, never done another also as he cut to much from book and made quite a boring film in comparrison to the others. chris columbus who directed the 1st 2 films quit as she was to demanding.

  • J.K. Rowling is not a bitch. End of.

  • J.K. Rowling is such as amazing person, and it scares me to no end that it's done. It's been done, and here I am, 20 minutes after New Year in SF, and I'm watching an HP video. "It's real for us", and it's a world we will always live in, that is there for us. For us fans, I don't think that it will genuinely hit us that it's over, because it's not. And it never will be. Hogwarts will always be there to welcome me, and countless others, home.

  • @becuzimworthit scarily enough I spent my new years eve going through the last HP movies which overlapped into 15 minutes of Jan 1st. And the rest of that day I felt an unbearable longing to read about Harry Potter, Hermione, Ron, the twins, Luna, etc.

  • As a very young Snape once said "It's real for us." Thank you, Joanne Rowling, for the experience of a lifetime. I will read this to my future children, and the magic will never die.

  • Of course, they just had to end this interview using 'Leaving Hogwarts'.

It just made me cry even more.

  • Thank you so much for this! I'm looking to buy the DVD of Deathly Hallows Part 2 and I really wanted to see this. However, I didn't want to spend an extra 25$ just for this. So, thanks :)

  • "Tom was a bit older than us, and was when he was younger..."

    Em...?

  • @PennyWyseman lol

  • can't there be some kinda of spin-off??

  • i think that there should be the pre-harry story written next showing his parents times at school and voldemort's first rise to power. and then end where the first book began. the books already have quite a bit of info from those days and i think it will be a good story and it will still include characters we love such as snape, lupin, sirius etc.

  • Im going to bed now...........random.......-_-

  • thank you SO much for updating <3 this literally saved me from going out nd getting the blue-ray copy AND a blue-ray player just so i could watch this :) so grateful

  • I think--I'm going to-- CRY What about US? Think about how its affecting US too! I'm breaking down, and searching eagerly for any strand of Harry Potterness to hold on to, yes, it will always be there, the books the movies, but nothing will ever happen then, its just------------OVER. :'( :'( JK Rowling, I know you probably won't read this, but THANK YOU, THANK YOU so MUCH, YOU are the reason for everything my childhood is, and I am eternally grateful <3 potter forever <3

  • Can someone tell me what a Diablo is? I thought it was a car. O.o but obviously its something else as well.

  • @MaraStarFar A diabolo is like a juggling toy thing.

  • Maybe we should kidnap her, gather all her fans and beg her till she bends to write another hp book?

  • I remember my mother letting my sister and I skip school to go see the first harry potter movie premier. After the movie we got interviewed by the news about what we thought of it. I've always considered that to be one of the best days of my life. After that it sort of became tradition for every harry potter that came out to see opening day.

  • Awesome upload!!

  • They seem like such down to earth people. Love it. Thanks for uploading!

  • Thanks so much for uploading these! <3

  • I'll always listen to that music and cry now.

  • @XxtatgalnextdoorxX that music always made me cry even when i was a kid in 2000, i understand

  • Amazing :)

  • Thank you so much. :)

  • Does anybody miss Harry Potter as much as me? I have just spent half of an hour watching various videos of HP on youtube and was crying the whole time. Fuck this, I am crying right now I want it so much to return. Fuck... J.K. Rowling thank You so much, so so so much...

  • @Kermi Same here.

  • @Kermi I know right. Harry Potter has been my life until now. Literally. First book published 1-2 years after my birth, and I've always been a huge fan. Now it ended. But truth is, I'll always be a fan. It didn't end for me. For me, the Harry Potter series still go on.

  • @Kermi i probably miss it even more.

J.K Rowling you have an amazing person. thank you so much for what you have done for me and so many others.

  • @Kermi No, you are not the only one to miss Harry Potter! I miss it so much, miss go to the book shop and see a sign saying "Coming soon" and then see a picture of her new book! I have cried so much over the summer, since the last part came out! I have grown up with those books and movies and toys. I have even tried to write a Harry Potter book (which did end up in the bin) I even wished to go to Hogwarts! Her books has been my childhood and my retreat from the world! God bless to J. K. Rowling

  • @Kermi Could not agree more!

  • Thank you for uploading this! It's so cool to see J.K. talking about that kind of things we all wonder.

  • *tiny tears*
