  • I screwed it up O_O

  • my 3x3x3 looks like Lego duplo and the 4x4x4 looks like Lego Technic...

  • i need help..

    on the video, he said that " D*, R, F', U, R', F, D'* " is used when you get something like what's on 3:27..

my question is, what to do when they are at the kittie corners instead of across of each other...

    thanks!!

  • every time he says F, U or 2U I think he is saying eff you and to you.

  • l prime r wtf im a rubicks cube dummie. thanks for making feel like an idiot.

  • Thx man i solved it

  • @ninearthify Think of a 3x3. You can't have adjacent blue-green centers. On a 4x4 you do get this. You can also move these "centers" through other centers to correct it. I think that's a more intuitive, very visual way to think of a parity. Parity is nothing but a term we cubers picked to describe the new shapes/moves the cube can take by it's unique construction, but it's not in any other technical way different from "orientation" or "permutation" cases.

  • Oh by the way, if anyone wants to learn another parity algorithm, it is F,U

  • Thank you so much!!!!! This helped me so much!!!!

  • can somebody explain to me why parity occurs on the 4x4x4 and not on the 3x3x3 ? I find this phenomenon extremely interesting and would like to know why it happens, thanks in advance

  • i dont get it how can it be unscrambled 3x3x3 rubiks cube?

  • @beatboxCRO once you have all the edge pieces grouped together that's like a single edge piece on a 3x3 and the 4 center pieces are like 1 center piece on a 3x3

  • Wtf did you do between 4:10- 4:51

  • @SlashKidGuitar he solved like a 3x3x3 rubiks cube, to know how to do that you first have to know how to solve a 3x3x3 rubiks cube, he says that in the first part of the tutorial

  • there's something wrong with tour parity algorithms (the versions that are written down). if i want to resolve that parity stuff i need to follow you ''live'' step by step. one thing that I've noticed is that sometimes when it says 2L*, you do 2L*, 2l.

  • * R'

  • 8:47 YOU F*** U PRIME

  • 8:44 F*** YOU

  • finally solved it.. thanks!!

  • I'm having a problem with my 4x4x4 and I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm able to solve a 3x3x3 and I can do the 4x4x4 fine to the point where it becomes a big 3x3x3, but when I go to get the cross on the bottom of the cube at the start of the final layer I only get one side missing, whereas I usually I only have 2 or 4. It's confusing me so much, help please?

  • @Joeseffel That's parity. Use parity algorithm 2 with the wrong edge right in front of you and it's on the top layer. Just watch the video to know what I mean.

  • @VagrantWatcher213 Thanks man, I was under the impression parity only occurred at the final step so I never would have tried that.

  • 8:41 F*** u

  • Got my first 4x4x4 yesterday and can already solve it thanks to these unreal videos.

  • i never end up with parity number 1 or 4

  • I get fucking writing's cramp when working with this thing, especially when solving the corner-pieces (in-before the Allan-algorithm). Solving my 3x3 feels like rubbing oil on a baby's arse in comparison.

  • Long, beastly, horrific, awful, terrible, stinky algorithms. :D

  • lol fu 8.45

  • 8:30 in this video i was offended he told me F U so many times!

  • @accentmark5 just watch him do it and follow what he does exactly. If you still fail you must have done something wrong...

  • @pigsinspace07 Thanks!

  • I wrote down parity algorithm 1, and I'm pretty sure I wrote it down correctly. But when I try to do it, I mess up. What should I do?

  • I just messed up one of the last algorithms restarted and GOT IT!!! Only took my a year..

  • I found a shorter version of his "Magic Algorithm":

    R' F D' F'

  • i have all the middle pieces solved but 2, i do not have any unsolved pieces on the top layer, cant get it... :S

  • at the end of the solving i got everything except the 8 corner pieces were in the right spots but not in the right position. Please help

  • @iurocks1000 I have the exact same thing. The only thing i can think of, is unscrambling, and re solving it. :(

  • omg!!! there is a spider attacking the rubiks!:o

  • please help: at 3:40 you give an algorithm for when the 4 remaining pieces are directly across from each other however im stuck when i have only the 4 unsolved left but their kitty corner and I dont know what to do to solve it. thanks for the help in advance. can u PM it to me.

  • @TyTyTyBoy When the four remaining peices are kitty corner, you'll want to hold those pices in front, and do the algorithm, R' F D' F', then they should be directly across from each other. Then you can do D* R F' U R' F D'*.

Sorry for two comments in a row both by me.

  • For when the pieces on the side are kitty corner you can just do this algorithm. F, U, F inverted, L.

  • srry typo its R, U`, B`, 2R ( srry my prime key on my keybord doesnt work right )

  • when two edge pieces are across from each other rather than kiddy-corner there is a faster algorithum that is a little less difficult to remember its : R, U`, B, 2R

  • the awkward momment when the 2 top comments are the same

  • Learned how to solve this within only a few days, thanks to you! :'-)

  • for some reason my 3x3x3 looks like a tiny child now...

  • F....you...F...you, am i the only 1 feeling insuleted ?

  • @menotspeakenglish you sure are my friend

  • @menotspeakenglish i was just thinking the same thing lol

  • what do i do when i have only two inside wedges left that are unsolved? i can't seem to get them solved without messing up another wedge.

  • ah 4:53. the moment I've been waiting for. :)

  • i ended up with two parody cases what do you do in that situation?

  • @thejudz1 You do each parity case one at a time. I just had the same thing occur. I did each at a time and it turned out solved in the end.

  • what do you mean its a scrambled 3x3x3 rubiks cube?

  • @thejudz1 You can solve it like a 3x3 cube.

  • the 4x4x4 is to hard

  • is it possible for 2 parity cases to appear?? because that's what i have -.-

  • @KrloOs1000 yes it happens; it means you have to do both algorithms -.-

  • I got first parity. IM DOOMED!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the algrorithms don't work for me. Atleast the second one. It fucks up everything :( Please help

  • I've moved on to the 5x5x5 and you don't have tutorials for that! =[

  • is it possible to get more than one parity error? i don't know if i'm doing it wrong or if that can happen

  • at the very beginning of parity case #1 shouldn't it be 2U* and then 2L'* instead of 2L*?

  • Is it possible to get 2 parity cases at the same time ? Because just like jaxnRds i can`t form a cross on the top layer so i thought i solve it without making the cross but at the right place, but now the corner pieces wont get in place either... am i doing something terribly wrong or do i just got very bad luck and in any case how do i fix it ? Please help

  • @kingcool6 It is possible to have more than one parity case. It has happend to me before. This is somthing that to me dosn't happend occasonly but when it does happen, you could get multiple partty cases or the same case multiple times.

  • @911devel ok thx, another question, at the end when i are suppose to get the corner pieces right, i got them on right place but it seems you cant use the normal algoritm Ri Di R D cuz then you screw the rest of the cube up, how do i solve that ?

  • @kingcool6 I'm not completely sure. I'll have to get back to you on that question. My guess is that maybe trying the algorithm for parody case 1 or 4.

  • @911devel Nevermind i figured it out :D Thx anyways

  • @TheRussianPT i got 1 for x-mas too but my record is 1:10 good job bro!

  • Note: I do NOT align all the centerpieces at the beginning. This is to avoid parity.

  • I'm currently working on a 4x4x4 layer-by-layer solve, but as of now, I'm stuck on the forth layer. Could you help me out here?

Trying to figure out how to switch the middle (not center) pieces on the top layer to lign them up, but nothing I do seems to work. Appreciate every suggestion you have! Or I'd be glad if you could post a private video with just the 4th layer solve.

    /The Swedish Asylum

  • I have a problem, PLEASE HELP! When I'm solving my 4x4 like a 3x3 I end up stumbling onto a predicament. When I'm doing the algorithm: F, R, U, R', U', F'. I can't get the colors of the top layer to form a cross on the top. Any help? :/

  • Comment removed

  • @JaxnRdS You have stumbled onto parity number 3. Just follow the instructions at that point and you will have it.

  • yay in my solve i got no parity :)

  • okay, i have a problem... i can get it completely solved except for one little corner which is flipped around... i try solving it like the normal 3x3x3 way, but it just mixes it up... i cannot figure out what im doing wrong, and when i tried mixing it up and doing it again, it didn't work either...

  • WTF is with all these porn suggestions?????

  • @GhostMushrooms i no aye

  • @rAv9898 the muslims here are offended....

  • @GhostMushrooms i thought i'd let you know you have the top comment

  • @orangeunicorn2009 yeah thanks they should make a system in which you will be notified if your comment is a top comment

  • @GhostMushrooms I've thought of that so many times...

  • i lost you@ 3:16

  • Comment removed

  • I cant solve the third layer! someone help!

  • at 2:10 you dont need to do the algorithm, you can just turn left or right side 180 degreeds ( sorry for my bad english ) and then you just turn them so they will be on bar and to the thing

  • @TheMrDrakth english was not bad at all

  • Comment removed

  • I am finished with the centers and the middle pieces are lined up so it is basically like an unscrambled 3x3x3 and when I try to solve it like the original, none of the corners match up. Did I do something wrong?

  • @kight1994 When you get to that point, assure that you have a corner piece in it's correct spot. Say you wanted to solve an orange/green/yellow piece. Make sure that you have the orange and yellow and green corner piece in the correct location -- next to the the orange, yellow or green side. Then do the Ri Di R D algorithm.

  • @kight1994 I have the same problem. I have it all set up to solve like a 3x3x3, but then the corners are flipped when I put them in the right spot.

  • I solved it! :D

  • Hey buddy, I’m about to go on a very long trip across country. The problem I’m running into is that the video will not let me play it on my iPhone. Please allow playback on iPhones so I can solve this crazy a** cube. Thanks

  • when you line it up do you have to solve them?

  • What's up w/ the suggestions?

  • Wait. . . what was the point of the L', R?

  • It's been long enough, when shall you teach us how to solve the professor?

  • @l0s0all 5x5 is pretty much the same. centers, edges, fix parity, solve like a 3x3.

  • I had PARITY CASE number 2 and i am not very happy that they are 5 cases with 2 of them with more than 20 moves and i bought 5x5x5 and 6x6x6...

  • RobHO629's videos are slightly better,

    Good Job Though!

  • what do you do when there are two 2x1 colours left and you cant move it without splitting up another one?

  • I have learned the most about how to solve the 4x4x4 rubiks cube parity cases from you. I have been from video to video and yours is the only one that i actually learned from. Thank you so much for making this video:)

  • Now, what part of my brain is supposed to remember Parity Algorithms can anyone tell me?

  • 6:35- i started crying

  • thanks your video helped me:D

  • Dude - your number 3 "magic" algorithm is lame. You can do a number of intuitive moves or simply R' F D' to get them across from each other.

  • Sometimes when i start solving the cube like it was a 3x3x3 i finish 3 layers and when i am trying to get the cross on the top i can't because the patern is wrong. Anyone else have the same problem?

  • @PYROjoSH09: Parity problem - you have an odd number of edges inverted. Need to learn parity algorithms.

  • This guy sounds just like the guy from the show Cash Cab.

  • Got a 4x4x4 took the better part of 2 hours to solve.

  • Dude, for parity case #3 I got the EXACT same two pieces switched as you O_o

  • I got a 4x4x4 for Christmas....but I got the centers wrong :( *starts over*

  • @obtusepothole Me too!

  • 4x4x4 just needs to fuck off tbh

  • can u make a video n how to solve a 5 by 5 cube please

  • Dan, your 3x3 videos were excellent, but this one is just a mess. I am completly stuck on trying to figure out the pairs. Everytime I move one, the other one gets out of place. "Moving an unsolved one there and a solved one here and turning it" doesn't help.

  • Ok dude. I have 2 unsolved edge sets, but they're diagonal. What do I do?

  • my cristmas present was a 4x4x4! now i can solve it! thanks! you were the one who thought me 3x3x3 and my record is 36 seconds!!!!

  • @TheRussianPT i got mine for christmas too ! :D

  • @TheRussianPT lol my record for the 3x3x3 is 2:59

  • @Mrgabi1239 when i first started the 3x3x3 my record was 3 min :P now 36 seconds :D

  • @TheRussianPT when i started with 3x3x3 my record was 4:46

  • @Mrgabi1239 keep training and see other ways of doing it faster :D

  • @TheRussianPT That's is what I'm going to do! I won't give up!

  • i got to 4:00 but now i dont know what to do, can someone help me?

  • This is way too hard to follow. You need to make a whole new part 3 to this 4x4x4 series. This one is absolutely terrible. Please make a new one. Everyone can follow everything up to this video. After about two minutes you just start saying, "you have to put this into the solved layer and then you put this there and then this right there to make those two good". That makes no sense even with the visual aid of the video.

  • IM finding it HARD!

  • @portalpalful do u know how to solve a normal rubiks cube because if u dont thats why ur finding this so hard

  • im trying to solve it

  • why are there porn vids on the related vids side of the the youtube page ?!?!

  • @hydropuncher because he is a pornstar

  • 09:58-10:00 Sexy spider :D

  • I solved it. dunno how but ._.

  • what he means when he said solve it like a 3x3 means u have to make a cross ? then the corners ? then f2l ? oll then pll ?

  • Does anyone know anything really good to put in a 4x4x4 cube? on my 3x3x3 i used Vasoline which helped a lot, but not so much on my 4x4x4.

  • Stuck on parity case 01 cubits are in the correct place but they are flipped?

  • why is there so much fake porn in the right Tab?

  • for me this is kinda easy :D now i want to buy a 4x4x4 rubiks cube , guys he has faith in you hahah so learn it

  • im scared to try to finish this in case a parity comes up O.O

  • FU, FU, FU

  • He made this one so confuzzling!!!!

  • I just got TWO parity errors in one go >_<

  • 0:24 I'm HIV Positive!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • my corners are all flip flop ,like i have finish the green top and the cross is made but for like the orange and yellow corner orange is on yellow side and yellow and is orange side but the green being on top is in the right spot i don't know if the person who gave the cube for free fudged up all the corners before hand or if this is a actual problem with solving the cube also this has happen with each corner being on the wrong side but the main top color being all right

  • @HEADSH0T754 maybe you positioned the sides wrong when you made all the middle pieces.

  • i don't no how ti gigi wit that

    ??

  • with the fifth parity algorithm, does it matter how you hold it?

  • ur so awsome helped me out alot! lol and funny

  • f uuuu You make no sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • he said FU o.o

  • whoever made the parities algrithms is really crazy mad smart

  • I just thought about this. If you want a 2x2x2 rubiks cube you could use the 4x4x4 as a 2x2x2. You just have to have the 4x4x4 solved.

  • @Numba1SouthParkFan 2x2's go diagonal though....

  • You don't know how to teach. never make how to videos fake

  • @pogobat can youu pleeaseee make a tutorial for the 5x5 your tutorials are the best

  • @GaTohacks 5x5 is essentially just like the 4x4, except for the fact that you need to solve three layer centers and edges instead of two. You really don't need a tutorial for it. If you don't trust your intuition, try MeMyselfandPi. He has tutorials for everything, though I warn you of his voice.

  • Thanks so much, this really helped, especially with the parity cases.

  • Did yiu know that in parity case #2, if you do the little r's and l's instead of the r*'s and l*'s, youll solve the cube faster

  • I payed attention till I got to the parities. FUUUUUUUUUU-

  • actually, u only need to remember 2 parity algorithm and one is ezy to remember (The shortest one). The other is the front flipped one. Its because the swapped diagonal pieces are caused by the misaligned "True" centre corner piece which causes the diagonal pieces to appear "Wrong" and by using the 3rd (or 5th) parity algorithm u will solve it (I tried it works every time!) so technically there is only 5 algorithms to remember for 4x4 and requirese 3x3 prerequisites haha

  • i have a parity case where its like 7:40 but insted of 2 wrong i have 3 wrong =/

  • @TheCirrus45 That means you previously disassembled your cube and it is unsolvable. Either that, or you need to do the algorithm that switches the top corners (L' U R U' L U R') once more

  • Thanks a million buddy I bought a 4x4x4 an hour and a half ago and I already solved it :D

  • sssssslllllllaaaaaayyyyyyyeeeeeerrrrrr!!!!!!! :D

  • YAYAAYAYAYYAY!!!!! SOOPOOLLLLVVEEED!!!

  • GIVE UP ;(

  • when start the top level near the end of solving it one of the two middle paired pieces is upside down and it screws everything up and i can't fix it HELP!! sad face

  • Lol he yawns at 2:12

  • @pogobat i noticed that the solve for parity case 2 gave you parity case 3. haha solve it like normal...nope! you got us it becomes parity case 2. Good save though solving the problem you hoped people didn't notice in parity case 2 in parity case 3.

  • parity case no.5 doesn't work lol

  • fuckity fuck fuck fuck! GOD DAMN TOP CROSS PARITY MOTHER FUCKERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • SOMEBODY HELPP PLEASEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so normally i start with the black(white) face and when i get to the yellow it always comes out wrong and i cannot solve it it will always come as a T shape when i need it to come out as a strait line or a right angle

    CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ThePhnx21 well if it keeps doin that . well have you ever took your cube apart if you have thats probably the reason you then put it back wrong ur just doin it wrong hopefully it helps

  • @YOUJUSTGOTTROLLED1 I have never taken it apart and dont even know how to lol

  • @ThePhnx21 It's a parity case. Just pretend that it's flipped the right way and continue to solve as normal, then they will be the only two the wrong way at the end. That's where you need the 2nd parity algorithm and after that it should be solved.
