Really, does any bassist really need that many tone controls? It just seems pointless to me. Also, I played one of these at Sam Ash, and it was nice, but not $2500 nice. I'd never spend more than a grand on a bass, but if I did, I'd go with a Sadowsky. They are better than this thing in just about every way, in my limited experience.
@youhavegeniusshins Why not have more tone shaping capability? Does a painter need only 1 brush? Or one color? "Need" and having ample tools to express your creativity are 2 different things... Glad you like the Sadowsky, but having choices is what it's all about! For one player Sadowsky might be the greatest! But for the next Music Man might be the right choice!
@theperfectbass Yea, what you are saying makes sense, but sometimes I feel like having sooo many options winds up being more of a hinderance than a help. Players tend to get bogged down in the smallest details. To each their own.
@thestick169 This is a 25th anniversary model, so yes, it is not cheap. But it's also a USA made product. There will be a standard model coming out this year called the Reflex. It will basically be the same features, just not as fancy, so the price will be lower.
@theperfectbass I don't care where it's made, or the amount of years a manufacturer has been around--unless it's made out of glass or some other ridiculous deal, $2500 will always be an excessive amount. At most: $1000, and that's still pushing it to the limit. It's all about making a bass that sounds great and is 'affordable' to the general consumer.

Sounds clean, though I can't feel the bottom on this video, like on a Fender.

Wow, how innovative... a bass made from pieces/designs of already existing instruments. Sounds like every other EBMM bass.
