You can actually just go over to the castle gate and talk to her on the same night as the second town gate meeting. Then she'll tell you to meet her three nights hence and you can leave and come back and talk to her a third time on the same night.

From memory, the Domovoi waking you up on Day 16 is to remind you to go save Tanya. Of course, if you then go to the castle to save her you won't meet Katrina on Day 17 anyway.

I think meeting her at the castle the 1st time is a bug in the game. When I played it once she told me to meet her by the castle some night, so she walked away, and I went straight to the castle and she was there. Probably a bug... I think you're just supposed to randomly wander into the castle gate area some night between 8-17 and run into her.

I think if you're talking to her and ask her for a date, you can meet her every three nights, instead of going from 8 - 17... Great video though, Katrina is my favorite video game character of all time.

I loved the combat in this game. It allowed for actual dodging and jumping over attacks as well as building up of spells for a massive spell.

At about 4:45 in the video, after you've asked her 3 different things, she tells you that "Maybe we could meet by the castle gate some evening". So I guess when you're awoken on the night of Day 16, and the (can't spell his name) talks to you about "some girl by the castle", you're supposed to remember what Katrina told you on Day 8 (or 11).

Katrina is a tease. She displays all the classic patterns: Acts interested and open to get your attention, then suddenly turns shy and cautious when you respond.
