I'm German and I want to say thank you in the name of Germany! Every nation which is down there in Afghanistan has the right to be honoured! I don't know how Canadiens think about Germans, but for me I can say, we are proud of every soldier (doesn't matter we he is from). Thanks to Germans, Americans, British, Canadiens, Italian, ... god bless you all, god bless your families and our countries! Together against global Terrorism!
ey guys.... doesn´t matter from where you are, which nation is yours.... all our sons, fathers, brothers, daughters, wifes, sisters which are fighting around the world for freedom and peace should be treated with some respect!
I guess i can say thank you to all prayers and prays as well in hte name of my former regiment the 2nd PPI, Canadian Forces. God bless Canada and all fallen heros! We will forgive but we never forget!!! RIP Comrades
To all off you: a peacefull and nice "Remembrance Day"
To any Canadian Solider's out there and to those who have fallen, I just wanted to say thanks!, Thanks for fighting for our freedom, Thank you for risking your lives to protect us...Im only 15 but i wanted to let you all know even though us teenagers, dont exactly intend to think about you guys and say thanks everyday... We care we may not show it everyday but we will always care and love you guys for everything you've guys have done for us!!! God bless you guys and may God bless your families
@Funnyman724 thank you, my young friend!!! It makes our job worth it, when young people like you understand what we are fighting for,,,, My family lost total 3 Members in 10 years and we just wanna say "thank you" god bless you and your family
sitting here, watching this video, and reading all these kin dcomments warms my heart, and I have never been more proud to have been In A Royal Canadian Army Cadet Core. Thank you, too not only the poster of this video, but everyone for there lovely comments. Freedom needs a soldier, but it never hurts any less to lose one.
@rexerexer66 Actually, Canada is only ending it's combat role this year. We are entirely pulling out of A'stan in 2015, until then we are sticking to building infrastructure and supporting the people.
Thank you so much for this video , I am a 17 PTE , in the Canadian millitary ( in training) and i will be praying for all the men and women who have lost there lives in the serivce ...R.I.P May my prayers be with you

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded sense of moral or patriotic feeling which thinks nothing is worth war is worse. The man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight nothing more than his own personal safety is the most miserable creature who will never be free unless made and kept so by the exertions of men greater than himself. John Mills
@bonda95 Fuck America? US soldiers are fighting along side our Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan right now. Dying along side our Canadian Soldiers right now. You ignorant, ungrateful, disrespectful, limp dick fuck. I understand if you dislike G Bush but to group all of america together is just ignorant. They are our allies. And their soldiers fight for the same reasons ours do.
I love both Canada and US, and after I graduate this year I am either going to join the Canadian Army, or the USMC.
@SharpSho0ter99 well that coment is over 1 year old, maybe 1,5 years old! My oppiniun has changes, I want to join the USMC to, or well try to atleast. I support all soldiers in Afghanistan, and other countries to ofc.
when im 17 i plan on signing up cause i want to be part of being bigger then myself and know that im helping those people over there by keeping the tailban out of there cities tthe afghans hate the taliban. theyve dont nothing but hold the poor afghans back dude we need to be there its there job thats what they signed up for they knew the risks and it is sad that they died but never say they died for nothing they died fighting for a cause they belived in
Look up the canadian PRT and see what they do. They spend all there time assisting the afgans in rebuilding there nation and giving them back there freedoms they lost. IN cities like Kandhar education and local economies are rising because of the coalition and people in the PRT. Now girls go to school, emergency services are getting supplies to operate. New construction and training for local contractors. Hell even cooperation between universities and Islamic relgion.
Everyone deserves a chance at freedom not just the western nations. Soldiers fight this war not to conquer like the russians but to liberate and give freedom back to the afgan people. We dont need thousands of men for the war we just need to show the afgan people what freedom is and tht they should fight to attain it and not be ruled by a tyrannical government. most are just to scared though to do anything about it for the taliban are still strong and we need to show we are there to help them
if ever one in the world was like canada we would have no need for the army so in that way i'm happy the troops are doing what there doing but at the same time i wish we did not have to go in there we shild only be goind in to keep it safe like cops not like the "usa"
scotsdoc, u wanna know what we gain, freedom. And freedom costs lives, every soldier knows that he has a good chance of dying but for every death, helps pave the road to freedom and peace.
God bless the men and women of our Canadian Forces. You are the pride of a nation...may our prayers be with you as your families and friends await your safe return home.
Thanks so much for your comment. The song used is called "Some Mother's Son" by Carolyn Dawn Johnson. Further to her album, it was featured in the film "We Were Soldiers".
It's funny how much Bush has affected the entire world. One man [a complete horse's arse] has forever changed history. He has the blood of thousands on his hands, and all for the sake of the almighty dollar.
Great song, greater video!
