  • You should do one demonstrating the load bearing capacity of the blonde.

  • I am very happy to see the vidoe after you give this 6 bridge failures from the CIVL 260 course on Nov. 25, 2009 the ones that didn't fail were boring

  • I Love The Video It Can Increase My Knowledge 6 bridge failures from the CIVL 260 course on Nov. 25, 2009 the ones that didn't fail were boring

  • Unless they weren't told where the sandbags would be placed then I couldn't understand how they could have failed. Now if the Prof. is a jerk and randomly placed sandbags just about anywhere with varying weights but same net total -like a real bridge would be supporting vehicles- then they may have had a reason. Reason in that there are already too many proofs that even professional Civil Eng. fail in that regard.

  • what university is this?..i hope none of their so-called future civil engineer students design any future bridges in america!!!..if so, we're doomed!!!

  • bottom chord catenary @ 6:20

  • lol@g14

  • Stupid mistake! All the trusses weren't correctly loaded and supported at the ends. This is obvious because under symmetric loads they didn't failed symmetrically.

  • @kaazip symmetric failure? theoretically maybe but in practice strength of materials are diff for similar materials.

  • how many pounds are they holding when they break?
