  • simple, minimalistic and economical. everything should be as simple as this but in this day and age it just isnt so. very fine video sir.

  • can I use paint thinner to clean up my chain??

    tnx ^^

  • @Murphy12370 Yup.

  • Does it matter which way you pedals when lubing/cleaning the chain?

  • What are you using to hang the bike with? Hooks and ???

  • @bebegcs Rope tied in loops.

  • what would be a good solvent???

  • @gsuskbral paint thinner

  • 240p is better than 360p :D:D:D

  • If I had a dollar for every pixel on the video I would have one dollar !

  • Can I use plain water???

  • awesome video thanks, but wont the water rust some of the metal components? EVen if you do dry it..?

  • @SourNaik nope. if bikes couldn't get wet, we wouldn't be able to ride in the rain!

  • I like your bike stand

  • Great video, mate! I don't have the money to purchase all the fancy products I've seen in other videos and it's good to see someone with a better bike than me do it in a similar fashion.

  • Solvent ... maybe you should wear gloves with that?

  • finally a cleaning routine that doesn't go all out

  • i have a free ride bike and i just us simple green for the chian and car was for eerthing. but i dont us the powwer washer. leared the hard was. just had to re do back hub

  • Wont the water rust the bike body?

  • «put a paper towel under your bike» what about going outside

  • Great video. Glad to know I'm not the only one who cleans my bike this thoroughly. I use MEK as a solvent to clean the chain, cassette and any other parts. Doesn't attract dirt and it evaporates fast.

  • Great video.

  • wish I had of seen this before I spent twenty quid on bicycle brushes, lol.

  • Great video

  • great video! thank you!

  • thank you so much for this video ! I think this is the best non-profesional video. Because there are lots o promotional of them trying to sell you unnecessary products !

  • @factusest totally agree. bravo.

  • its called a master link not a quick link and use something besides paint thinner, its to strong use wd40 then clean it off instantly then put an actualy chain lube in the brush and after ur all done dry the chain and spray some chain lube on

  • @bikeracer28 it's also called a quick link douche bag...

  • go to hell

  • yeah im definitely going to hell but that doesnt change the fact that it's also called a quick link

    douche bag

  • wtvr everybody i kno calls it a master link.and maybe u should use that douche bag.

  • @bikeracer28 maybe you should learn how to spell so you dont look like such a fucking idiot

  • fuck u and i know how to spell im just lazy so i ask ppl 4 shorter ways to type things

  • paint thinner, im sure you could have brought somethign thats more reccomended for bike chains! lol i like your humour though

  • wat is the name of the stuff he spraid on the chain right at the very end after he already cleaned everything? He called it "trislow" or "triflow" or something like that, couldnt really understand what he said.

  • it's Tri-flow. A commercial lubricant. They have a site triflowlubricants com.

But I guess any lubricant will do. I even heard car oil is very good!

  • Citrus degreaser is much better on your bike, your hands and the environment. Paint thinner, what will that do to grease?

  • That is the sickest work stand I've ever seen! I'm going to do that!

I try not to use water and soak up my frame. Afraid it might rust some small components on my bike. A damp towel does the job.

  • Thanks for this. Its been very useful. Im british and I cant quite work out what you mean by solvent...paint thinner??? Sounds a bit harsh... anything else you would recommend?

  • uh yeah he said paint thinner.

  • You talk like a robot, who programmed you?

  • ha! i thought the same thing about the SRM!

  • Warning: Be sure to take any rags with solvent outside and let them dry before putting them in a waste basket. They can spontaneously combust if balled up. Good video.

  • COOOEWL!

  • Really good video. Old school paint thinner, just like I do.

I have a new Trek as well, and this is exactly what I plan on doing to maintain it!

  • you have an SRM? And dude, if you are using any solvent please use gloves.

  • dude, paint thinner aint too safe for a lot of reasons....good tutorial though.

  • great video, thanks!

  • nice

what was that in a bottle?;]

  • he said it was water from the tap

  • @cooleyboyrulz yes. At least it is cheaper than bottled water. :)
