if you protest, you give your consent to whomever you protesting against, because what protest means is to UNHAPPILY ACCEPT what is being done to you / your land / your whatever, and the protest is to show your discontent. What you need to do is reject and resist.
There was a bomb threat at the post office across the street from my office. There were all these cops roaming around the perimeter, in full military fatigue, and carrying assault weapons.
The receptionist at my office was flirting with them, making jokes about the size of their guns.
But don't you see, the children of the sixties became Internet billionaires, attend the TED conference, and buy Teslas... They don't want to protest in the streets, they want to change the system with the green economy.
