World War II ended in fact on August 31st, 1991. The last Soviet Soldier left the Baltic as well as Germany. It took four more years, until last base of this evil empire was dismanteled at Skundra. The Balts survived all this tribulations and I wish these countries a great and glorious future. May god be with you all.

I'll never forget the day i visited the KGB museum in Vilnius. I saw many things in the time i lived in lithuania, but in my entire life i have never visited a place that made me feel so much, that disturbed me so much. I also visited 9th fort in Kaunas- a holicost site, it was also very very sad, and I dont mean to down play it, but nothing effected me like the things i saw in the KGB Building. i am glad someone has made a film to document this so people dont forget.

Until 1940, when soviets invaded, Seimas (Lithuanian Parliament) was active, together with the president was passing laws. There was no state censorship, other than complete ban on communist ideology. There were no expansionist policies either. At that time there were about 200,000 jews in Lt, but not a single case of discrimination ever occured. The correct term for Lt is "Right wing republic"

The common feature of most of the russians is that they NEED an authority, someone who can unite them, protect them and rule them. I'll never forget the day i visited the KGB museum in Vilnius. I saw many things in the time i lived in lithuania, but in my entire life i have never visited a place that made me feel so much, that disturbed me so much. I also visited 9th fort in Kaunas- a holicost site, it was also very very sad, and I dont mean to down play it, but nothing effected me like the things i saw in the KGB Building. i am glad someone has made a film to document this so people dont forget.

Somebody wrote that Lithuania during interwar was a Mussolini- style dictatorship, this is not true. Until 1940, when soviets invaded, Seimas (Lithuanian Parliament) was active, together with the president was passing laws. There was no state censorship, other than complete ban on communist ideology. There were no expansionist policies either. At that time there were about 200,000 jews in Lt, but not a single case of discrimination ever occured. The correct term for Lt is "Right wing republic"

Compare pre-Castro Cuba with Post-Castro's Cuba. Pre-Castro had a handful of prisons, Post-Castro hundreds--filled with MANY political prisoners. There was oppression under Batista, but it was small potatoes compared to Castro. You were allowed to live your life, under Batista, provided you were not aggressively trying to overthrow the government. Under Castro, the government was aggressively taking away freedoms-whether or not you were actively fighting them. The U.S vs. USSR is similar.

Russia occupied the Baltic States against their will and soaked their land with blood, not unlike what Turkey did to Armenia. The factories that built afterwards, the Balts would have built themselves, only, believe me much better, and not for the benefit the USSR.

Estonian citizenship is a privilege along with latvian and lithuanian and should not be granted to a foreigner unless they are willing to assimilate and learn the culture,language,customs and swear allegiance , most importantly to that adopted country.

Hence I assume that the film is not yet available for the public.
